Conservation of Cultural Heritage - Specifications for location, construction and modification of buildings or rooms intended for the storage or use of heritage collections

This European Standard gives specifications and guidance for the location, construction and arrangement of building specifically intended for internal storage of all heritage collection types and formats.
This standard applies to buildings where collections are housed permanently and can be used as guidance for shorter-term display spaces where appropriate. Throughout the document, where specifications relate exclusively to storage spaces, these are defined as such. Where specifications can also be applied to areas such as display galleries or reading rooms, these applications are referred to explicitly.
Clauses relating to risks associated with security, environmental hazards, fire, water and pests apply to buildings as a whole and to any room in which collections may be held.
Some of the clauses in this standard may be applicable in protected historic buildings that contain collections. In these settings, the scope for any alterations or achievement of conditions suitable for collections may be limited by the historic character of the structure, especially where it is protected by heritage regulations.
NOTE   This standard covers the structure of buildings containing heritage collections, whether for storage or use. For a description of technical processing spaces recommended in the design specifically of a storage building open to the public, attention is drawn to EN 16141.
This standard should be seen as complementary to national or local building regulations and specifications.

Erhaltung des kulturellen Erbes - Festlegungen für Standort, Errichtung und Änderung von Gebäuden oder Räumlichkeiten für die Lagerung oder Nutzung von Sammlungen des kulturellen Erbes

Diese Europäische Norm gibt Spezifikationen und Leitlinien für den Ort, Neubau und Anordnung von Gebäuden, die speziell für die Lagerung aller Arten und Formate von Kulturerbesammlungen vorgesehen sind.
Diese Norm gilt für Gebäude, in denen Sammlungen dauerhaft aufbewahrt werden, und sie kann gegebenenfalls als Leitfaden zu Räumen für kurzfristigere Ausstellungen angewendet werden. In diesem Dokument werden Spezifikationen, die sich ausschließlich auf Lagerräume beziehen, durchgehend als solche definiert. Wenn Spezifikationen auch für Bereiche wie Ausstellungsgalerien und Lesesäle gelten können, wird auf diese Einsatzbereiche ausdrücklich Bezug genommen.
Abschnitte, die sich auf Risiken in Verbindung mit Sicherheit, umgebungsbezogenen Gefährdungen, Feuer, Wasser und Schädlingen beziehen, gelten für Gebäude als Ganzes sowie für jeden Raum, der möglicherweise der Aufbewahrung von Sammlungen dienen kann.
Einige der in dieser Norm enthaltenen Abschnitte können in geschützten historischen Gebäuden gelten, die Sammlungen enthalten. Der Anwendungsbereich für das Ändern oder Erreichen von Bedingungen, die für Sammlungen geeignet sind, kann in diesem Umfeld durch den historischen Charakter des Bauwerks eingeschränkt sein, insbesondere dort, wo es durch Vorschriften zum Erbe geschützt ist.
ANMERKUNG   Diese Norm behandelt die Struktur von Gebäuden, die Kulturerbesammlungen enthalten, unabhängig ob zur Lagerung und Nutzung. Für eine Beschreibung technischer Diensträume, die in der Gestaltung eines der Öffentlichkeit zugänglichen Lagerhauses speziell empfohlen sind, siehe EN 16141.
Diese Norm sollte als Ergänzung zu nationalen oder regionalen Bauvorschriften und Gebäudespezifikationen angesehen werden.

Conservation du patrimoine culturel - Spécifications pour l'emplacement, la construction et la modification des bâtiments et des salles destinés au stockage ou à l'utilisation de collections

La présente Norme européenne fournit des spécifications et recommandations ayant trait à l'emplacement, la construction et l'aménagement des bâtiments destinés au stockage interne de collections de tout type et format.
La présente norme s'applique aux bâtiments qui abritent des collections de façon permanente et peut, le cas échéant, servir de recommandations pour les espaces d'exposition temporaire. Tout au long du document, lorsque les spécifications concernent exclusivement les espaces de stockage, elles seront définies comme telles. Lorsque les spécifications peuvent également être appliquées à d'autres zones, telles que les galeries d'exposition et salles de lecture, ces applications sont explicitement citées.
Les articles relatifs aux risques liés à la sûreté, aux risques environnementaux, au feu, à l'eau et aux nuisibles s'appliquent aux bâtiments dans leur ensemble ainsi qu'à toute pièce dans laquelle des collections pourraient être conservées.
Certains des articles de la présente norme peuvent s'appliquer aux bâtiments historiques protégés qui abritent des collections. Dans ce type de bâtiment, le domaine d'application de toute modification d'état ou mise en place des conditions appropriées pour les collections peut être limité par la nature historique de la structure, en particulier lorsqu'elle est soumise à des réglementations de protection du patrimoine.
NOTE   La présente norme couvre la structure des bâtiments abritant des collections, que ce soit en vue d'un stockage ou d'une utilisation. Pour une description des espaces de traitement techniques recommandés pour la conception spécifique d'un bâtiment de stockage ouvert au public, l'attention est attirée sur l'EN 16141.
Il convient de considérer la présente norme comme complémentaire des spécifications et réglementations nationales ou locales en matière de construction.

Ta osnutek evropskega standarda podaja specifikacije in smernice za lokacijo, gradnjo ali prilagajanje stavbe katere koli oblike ali prostorov znotraj obstoječe stavbe, ki so namenjeni posebej za notranje shranjevanje in uporabo zbirk kulturne dediščine vseh tipov in oblik (pri čemer uporaba vključuje predstavitev ali upravljanje itd.).
Točke, ki se nanašajo na varnostna tveganja, okoljske nevarnosti, požare, vodo in škodljivce, veljajo za celotne stavbe in za kateri koli prostor, kjer se lahko hranijo zbirke. Ta standard se uporablja pri stavbah, kjer so zbirke hranjene trajno, in se lahko uporablja kot vodilo za prostore za kratkotrajno predstavitev, kjer je to ustrezno.
