Energy efficiency of Industrial trucks - Test methods - Part 4: Variable-reach rough-terrain trucks

This document specifies the method of fuel consumption measurement for rough-terrain variable-reach trucks as defined in ISO 5053-1, hereinafter referred to as trucks. It does not apply to slewing trucks having a movement of more than 5° either side of the longitudinal axis.
This part is intended to be used in conjunction with EN 16796-1. Where the requirements of this part differ from that in part 1, requirements in this part 4 will take precedence.

Dieses Dokument legt das Verfahren zur Messung des Kraftstoffverbrauchs für geländegängige Flurförderzeuge mit veränderlicher Reichweite nach ISO 5053 1 fest, die im Folgenden als Flurförderzeuge bezeichnet werden. Es gilt nicht für schwenkbare Stapler, die eine Bewegung von mehr als 5° auf jeder Seite der Längsachse aufweisen.
Dieser Teil ist dafür vorgesehen, zusammen mit EN 16796 1 angewendet zu werden. Wenn sich die Anforderungen in diesem Teil von jenen in Teil 1 unterscheiden, haben die Anforderungen in diesem Teil 4 Vorrang.

Le présent document spécifie la méthode de mesure de la consommation de carburant des chariots tout terrain à portée variable tels que définis dans l'ISO 5053-1, ci-après désignés chariots. Il ne s'applique pas aux chariots rotatifs ayant un mouvement de plus de 5° de part et d'autre de l'axe longitudinal.
La présente partie est destinée à être utilisée conjointement avec l'EN 16796-1. Lorsque les prescriptions de la présente partie sont différentes de celles de la partie 1, les prescriptions de la présente partie 4 prévalent.

Ta dokument je treba uporabljati skupaj s standardom EN 16796-1, pri čemer velja, da kjer se zahteve iz tega dela razlikujejo od zahtev iz 1.dela, imajo zahteve iz tega 4. dela prednost.

This document (EN 16796-4:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 150 “Industrial

Trucks - Safety”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2019, and conflicting national standards

shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2019.

Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of

patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.

EN 16796 consists of the following parts, under the general title 'Energy efficiency of Industrial trucks —

Test methods':
— Part 1: General

— Part 2: Operator controlled self-propelled trucks, towing tractors and burden-carrier trucks

— Part 3: Container handling lift trucks
— Part 4: Variable-reach rough-terrain trucks

— Part 5: Trucks with elevating operator position and trucks specifically designed to travel with elevated

loads
