Plastics - Phenolic resins - Determination of reactivity on a B-transformation test plate (ISO 8987:2005)

ISO 8987:2005 specifies methods for the determination of the B-transformation time of phenolic resins at a specified temperature and under specified conditions on a heated test plate.
Two methods are described, each with a different test plate:
Method A -- plate with depressions in the form of segments of spheres;
Method B -- flat plate without depressions.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Verfahren für die Bestimmung der B-Zeit von Phenolharzen bei festgelegter Temperatur unter festgelegten Bedingungen auf einer beheizten Prüfplatte fest. Zwei Verfahren werden beschrieben, jedes mit einer anderen Prüfplatte:
Verfahren A: Prüfplatte mit Vertiefungen in der Form von Kugelsegmenten;
Verfahren B: flache Prüfplatte ohne Vertiefungen.

L'ISO 8987:2005 spécifie des méthodes de détermination du temps de transformation au stade B des résines phénoliques, à une température et dans des conditions spécifiées, sur plaque d'essai chauffée.
Deux méthodes sont décrites, chaque méthode étant spécifique à un type de plaque:
Méthode A: plaque avec des empreintes en forme de segment de sphères;Méthode B: plaque plate sans dépressions.

This document (EN ISO 8987:2005) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61
"Plastics" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of
which is held by IBN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2006, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by April 2006.

This document supersedes EN ISO 8987:1998.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
