This European Standard specifies additional requirements and test methods for head protectors without face protection used in unarmed martial arts, such as Taekwondo, Karate, Kick-Boxing and similar disciplines.
It also applies to head protectors used in boxing.

Diese Europäische Norm legt zusätzliche Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für Kopfschützer ohne Gesichtsschutz fest, die bei unbewaffneten Kampfsportarten, wie Taekwondo, Karate, Kickboxen und ähnliche Disziplinen, benutzt werden.
Sie gilt auch für Kopfschützer beim Boxen.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie des méthodes d'essai et des exigences complémentaires relatives aux protecteurs de la tête dépourvus de visière, utilisés lors de la pratique des arts martiaux sans utilisation d'armes, tels que le taekwondo, le karaté, le kick-boxing et autres disciplines semblables.
Elle s'applique également aux protecteurs de la tête utilisés lors de la pratique de la boxe.
