Fertilizers - Extraction of water soluble sulfur where the sulfur is in various forms

This document specifies a method for the extraction of water-soluble sulfur contained in fertilizers in various forms.
The method is applicable to EC-fertilizers for which a declaration of the water-soluble sulfur trioxide is provided for.

Das vorliegende Dokument legt ein Verfahren für die Extraktion von wasserlöslichem Schwefel fest, der in
verschiedener Form in Düngemittel enthalten ist.
Das Verfahren gilt für EG-Düngemittel, für die eine Angabe des wasserlöslichen Schwefeltrioxids vorgeschrieben
ist.

Le présent document fixe une méthode d’extraction du soufre soluble dans l’eau lorsque celui-ci est présent
dans l’engrais sous différentes formes.
Cette méthode s’applique aux engrais CE pour lesquels est prévue une déclaration de l’anhydride sulfurique
soluble dans l’eau.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 3 August 2009 for provisional application.

The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to submit their
comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.

CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS available
promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in parallel to the CEN/TS)
until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.

CEN members are the national standards bodies of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland,
