IEC 61557-10:2013 specifies the requirements for combined measuring equipment which combines into one piece of apparatus, several measuring functions or methods of testing, measuring or monitoring according to the respective parts of IEC 61557. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2000. This edition constitutes a technical revision. EN 61557-10:2013 (identical to IEC 61557-10:2013) specifies safety and performance requirements for combined measuring equipment used in testing, measuring or monitoring protective measures in low-voltage distribution systems (up to 1 000 V a.c. and 1 500 V d.c.). It defines how multifunction testers - devices that combine several measurement functions from other IEC 61557 parts - must be designed, marked and tested so no additional hazard arises when functions or terminals are used in combination. This edition (2013) replaces the 2001 edition and is a technical revision.

FOREWORD 1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields.
