Household electric instantaneous water heaters - Methods for measuring the performance - Part 1: General aspects

This document applies to electric instantaneous water heaters for domestic hot water heating for household and similar applications, which show both of the following characteristics: - fulfilling at least one load pattern from Annex A; - heating up to temperatures below the boiling temperature. This document specifies terms, definitions and measurement methods for the assessment of energy efficiency. This document does not take into account requirements regarding the safety of the appliances.

L'IEC 63159-1:2021 s'applique aux chauffe-eau instantanés électriques destinés au chauffage de l'eau chaude sanitaire pour des applications domestiques et analogues, présentant les deux caractéristiques suivantes: – satisfaisant à au moins un diagramme de charge de l'Annexe A; – chauffant jusqu'à des températures inférieures à la température d'ébullition. Le présent document spécifie les termes, définitions et méthodes de mesure pour l'évaluation du rendement énergétique. Le présent document ne tient pas compte des exigences concernant la sûreté des appareils.

Ta dokument se uporablja za električne pretočne grelnike vode v gospodinjstvih za gospodinjske in podobne aparate, pri katerih velja, da: – izpolnjujejo vsaj enega od vzorcev obremenitve iz dodatka A; – grejejo do temperatur pod temperaturo vrelišča. Ta dokument določa izraze, definicije in merilne metode za oceno energijske učinkovitosti. Ta dokument ne zajema zahtev glede varnosti aparatov.

The text of document 59C/267/FDIS, future edition 1 of IEC 63159-1, prepared by SC 59C “Electrical
heating appliances for household and similar purposes” of IEC/TC 59 “Performance of household and
similar electrical appliances” was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by
CENELEC as EN IEC 63159-1:2021.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at national (dop) 2022–08–25
level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2024–11–25
document have to be withdrawn
