IEC 61347-2-7:2011 specifies particular safety requirements for battery supplied electronic controlgear for maintained and non-maintained emergency lighting purposes. It includes specific requirements for electronic controlgear and control units for self-contained luminaires for emergency lighting as specified by IEC 60598-2-22. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 2006. It constitutes a technical revision. Significant changes introduced into this third edition include: - modification of IEC 61347-2-7 to become a standard exclusively for d.c. battery supplied electronic controlgear for emergency lighting (self-contained) IEC 61347-2-3 Annex J is intended to cover centrally supplied emergency controlgear; - update of Clause 22 - Recharging devices; - modification of Clause 20 battery voltage characterisation to support EBLF measurement. This to simplify and increase reproducibility of testing; - rationalisation of requirements between IEC 61347-2-7 and IEC 60598-2-22 requirements of IEC 60598-2-22 being transferred to IEC 61347-2-7. This publication is to be read in conjunction with IEC 61347-1:2007.

La CEI 61347-2-7:2011 spécifie les exigences particulières de sécurité pour les appareillages électroniques alimentés par batterie prévus pour l'éclairage de secours permanent ou non permanent. Elle comprend des exigences particulières relatives aux appareillages électroniques et aux blocs de commande pour les blocs autonomes d'éclairage de secours spécifiés dans la CEI 60598-2-22. Cette troisième édition annule et remplace la deuxième édition parue en 2006. Elle constitue une révision technique. Les changements significatifs introduits dans cette troisième édition incluent: - des modifications de la CEI 61347-2-7 en vue de devenir une norme exclusivement relative aux appareillages électroniques alimentés par batterie en courant continu pour l'éclairage de secours (autonome). La CEI 61347-2-3, Annexe J, est destinée à couvrir les appareillages de secours à alimentation centrale; - la mise à jour de l'Article 22 - Dispositifs de recharge; - la modification de l'Article 20, caractérisation de la tension de la batterie pour étayer la mesure de l'EBLF. Il s'agit de simplifier et d'accroître la reproductibilité des essais; - la rationalisation des exigences de la CEI 61347-2-7 avec la CEI 60598-2-22, les exigences de la CEI 60598-2-2 étant transférées à la CEI 61347-2-7. Ta del standarda IEC 61347 določa posebne varnostne zahteve za enosmerno napajane elektronske predstikalne naprave za vzdrževano in nevzdrževano nujnostno razsvetljavo. Zajema posebne zahteve za elektronske predstikalne naprave in nadzorne enote za samostojne svetilke za nujnostno razsvetljavo iz standarda IEC 60598-2-22. Standard je namenjen stikalnim napravam za fluorescenčne sijalke, vendar se uporablja tudi za druge vrste sijalk, npr. visokotlačne sijalke z žarilno nitko in svetleče diode. Ta standard zajema nujnostno delovanje stikalnih naprav. Vidiki običajne razsvetljave za stikalne naprave s kombinacijo običajne in nujnostne razsvetljave so zajeti v ustreznem 2. delu standarda IEC 61347. Enosmerno napajane elektronske predstikalne naprave za nujnostno razsvetljavo lahko vključujejo akumulatorje ali ne. The text of document 34C/995/FDIS, future edition 3 of IEC 61347-2-7, prepared by SC 34C, "Auxiliaries
for lamps", of IEC/TC 34, "Lamps and related equipment" was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel
vote and approved by CENELEC as EN 61347-2-7:2012.

This document supersedes EN 61347-2-7:2006.
EN 61347-2-7:2012 includes the following significant technical changes with respect to EN 61347-2-
7:2006:
modification of EN 61347-2-7 to become a standard exclusively for d.c. battery supplied electronic
controlgear for emergency lighting (self-contained). EN 61347-2-3:2011, Annex J, is intended to cover
centrally supplied emergency controlgear;
update of Clause 22 – Recharging devices;
