EN 62080:2009

Sound signalling devices for household and similar purposes

This International Standard applies to sound signalling devices with integral enclosures or to sound signalling devices intended to be fitted into or supplied with enclosures according to IEC 60670 intended for household and similar purposes with rated voltages greater than 50 V a.c. or 75 V d.c. and not exceeding 250 V a.c. or 250 V d.c., and with rated power inputs not exceeding 100 VA. This standard applies to fixed, portable and plug-in devices for indoor or outdoor use.

Ta mednarodni standard velja za zvočne signalizacijske naprave z zaprtimi sestavnimi deli ali za zvočne signalizacijske naprave, namenjene za vgraditev v ali dobavo z zaprtim sistemom v skladu z IEC 60670 za gospodinjske in podobne namene z ocenjeno napetostjo, ki ne presega 250 V izmenične napetosti ali 250 V enosmerne napetosti in z ocenjenim dovodom energije, ki ne presega 100 VA. V teh zvočnih signalizacijskih napravah je lahko vključena tudi prikazna luč, ki ima ocenjeno vhodno moč, ki ne presega 10 VA. Ti proizvodi so v preostalem besedilu označeni kot »naprave«. The text of the International Standard IEC 62080:2001 and its amendment 1:2008, prepared by IEC TC 23
Electrical accessories, was submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure and was approved by CENELEC
as EN 62080 on 2009-10-01.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented

at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2010-10-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2012-10-01
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.
