This amendment A2 modifies the European Standard EN 60335-2-105:2005; it was approved by CENELEC on 2016-11-07. CENELEC

members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the

status of a national standard without any alteration.

Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN-CENELEC

Management Centre or to any CENELEC member.

This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation under the

responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre has the same status as

the official versions.

Endorsement notice

The text of the International Standard IEC 60335-2-105:2005/A2:2013 was approved by

CENELEC as a European Standard with agreed common modifications not related to A2 but

prepared by WG4 to meet the needs of EU Mandate M/511.
COMMON MODIFICATIONS
1 Modification to the Scope
Replace the fourth paragraph excluding notes 101, 102, 103 by the following:

This standard deals with the reasonably foreseeable hazards presented by appliances and machines that

are encountered by all persons. However, in general, it does not take into account:

• children playing with the appliance;
• the use of the appliance by young children and very young children;
• the use of the appliance by older children without supervision.

It is recognized that very vulnerable people may have needs beyond the level addressed in this

standard.
2 Modification to clause 7, Marking and instructions
7.12 Modification:
Delete the 4th paragraph of the addition including the warning.
3 Modification to the Annexes
