In addition to the scope of IEC 61326-1, this part of IEC 61326 specifies more detailed test configurations, operational conditions and performance criteria for equipment covered by Annex A of IEC 61326-1 which is: - used for testing, measuring or monitoring of protective measures in low-voltage distribution systems, and; - powered by battery and/or from the circuit measured, and - portable. Examples of such EUT include, but are not limited to, voltage detectors, insulation testers, earth continuity testers, earth resistance testers, loop impedance testers, “residual-currentdevice- testers” (RCD-testers) and phase sequence testers as defined in IEC 61557. The manufacturer specifies the environment for which the product is intended to be used and/or select the appropriate test level specifications of IEC 61326-1.

La CEI 61326-2-2:2012 donne des spécifications plus détaillées des configurations d'essai, des conditions fonctionnelles et des critères de performance pour les matériels couverts par l'Annexe A de la CEI 61326-1, qui sont: utilisés pour le contrôle, la mesure ou la surveillance de mesures de protection dans les réseaux de distribution basse tension, et; alimentés par batterie et/ou par le circuit mesuré, et portatifs. Cette deuxième édition annule et remplace la première édition parue en 2005. Cette édition constitue une révision technique. Les principaux changements techniques sont: Mise à jour par rapport à la CEI 61326-1:2012.

Poleg področja uporabe standarda IEC 61326-1 ta del standarda IEC 61326 določa podrobnejše preskusne konfiguracije, obratovalne pogoje in merila za lastnosti opreme iz dodatka A standarda IEC 61326-1, za katero velja: – uporablja se za preskušanje, merjenje ali nadzorovanje zaščitnih ukrepov v nizkonapetostnih razdeljevalnih sistemih; – napaja jo baterija in/ali merjeni tokokrog in – je prenosna. Primeri take preskušane opreme med drugim vključujejo detektorje napetosti, naprave za preskušanje izolacije, naprave za preskušanje ozemljitvene neprekinjenosti, naprave za preskušanje ozemljitvene upornosti, naprave za preskušanje impedance zanke, naprave za preskušanje naprav na diferenčni tok (naprave za preskušanje RCD) in naprave za preskušanje faznega zaporedja, kot je opredeljeno v standardu IEC 61557. Proizvajalec določi okolje, v katerem naj bi se izdelek uporabljal, in/ali izbere ustrezne specifikacije preskusne ravni iz standarda IEC 61326-1.
