La présente Norme européenne s'applique au chlorure d'ammonium utilisé pour le traitement de l'eau destinée à la consommation humaine. Elle décrit les caractéristiques du chlorure d'ammonium et en spécifie les exigences ainsi que les méthodes d’analyse correspondantes. Elle donne des informations pour son emploi dans le traitement de l'eau. Elle fixe également les règles relatives à la sécurité d'emploi et de manipulation du chlorure d’ammonium (voir Annexe B).

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2013, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 2013.
