This document specifies the in-vehicle information (IVI) data structures that are required by different intelligent transport system (ITS) services for exchanging information between ITS Stations (ITS-S). A general, extensible data structure is specified, which is split into structures called containers to accommodate current-day information. Transmitted information includes IVI such as contextual speed, road works warnings, vehicle restrictions, lane restrictions, road hazard warnings, location-based services, re-routing. The information in the containers is organized in sub-structures called data frames and data elements, which are described in terms of its content and its syntax.
The data structures are specified as communications agnostic. This document does not provide the communication protocols. This document provides scenarios for usage of the data structure, e.g. in case of real time, short-range communications.

Ta dokument določa podatkovne informacijske strukture v vozilih (IVI), ki jih zahtevajo različne storitve inteligentnih transportnih sistemov (ITS) za izmenjavo informacij med postajami ITS (ITS-S). Določena je splošna, razširljiva podatkovna struktura, ki je razdeljena v strukture (vsebnike) za prilagoditev aktualnim informacijam. Prenesene informacije vključujejo informacije v vozilu, kot so kontekstualna hitrost, opozorila o delih na cesti, omejitve za vozila, omejitve na voznih pasovih, opozorila o nevarnosti na cesti, lokacijske storitve in sprememba poti. Informacije v vsebnikih so urejene v podstrukture (podatkovne okvirje in elemente), ki so opisane glede na vsebino in sintakso.
Podatkovne strukture so določene kot agnostična komunikacija. Ta dokument ne podaja komunikacijskih protokolov. Ta dokument podaja scenarije za uporabo podatkovne strukture, npr. v primeru komunikacije kratkega dosega v realnem času.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 25 May 2024 for provisional application.
The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to
submit their comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.
CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS
available promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in
parallel to the CEN/TS) until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
CEN members are the national standards bodies of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway,
