Ta peti del standarda ETS 300 138 določa zgradbo preskuševalnega niza (TSS) in namen preskušanja (TP) za
omrežno stran referenčne točke T ali sovpadajoči referenčni točki S in T (kot je opredeljeno v Priporočilu  ITU-T I.411 [6]) za izvedbe v skladu s standardom tretje stopnje za
nadomestno storitev zaprte skupine uporabnikov (CUG) za vseevropsko digitalno omrežje z integriranimi storitvami
(ISDN) na podlagi protokola digitalne naročniške signalizacije št. 1 (DSS1), ETS 300 138-1 [1]. Naslednji del tega standarda ETS določa abstraktni preskuševalni niz (ATS) in delno proformo za dodatne informacije v okviru preskušanja izvedbe protokola (PIXIT) na podlagi tega standarda ETS. Drugi deli določajo zgradbo preskuševalnega niza in namen preskušanja, abstraktni preskuševalni niz ter delno proformo za dodatne informacije v okviru preskušanja izvedbe protokola za referenčno točko T ali sovpadajoči referenčni točki S in T za izvedbe v skladu s standardom ETS 300 138-1 [1] na strani uporabnika.
