This European Standard deals with the safety of electric deep fat fryers having a recommended maximum quantity of oil not exceeding 5 l, frying pans, woks and other appliances in which oil is used for cooking, and intended for household use and similar use, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V.

51 — This appliance shall not be used by children from 0 year to 8 years. This appliance can be used by
52 children aged from 8 years and above if they are continuously supervised. This appliance can be used by
53 people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
54 have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
55 the hazards involved. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
