ISO 10366-2:2003 specifies the methods of preparation of test specimens and the test methods to be used in determining the properties of MABS moulding and extrusion materials. Requirements for handling test material and for conditioning both the test material before moulding and the specimens before testing are given.
Procedures and conditions for the preparation of test specimens and procedures for measuring properties of the materials from which these specimens are made are given. Properties and test methods which are suitable and necessary to characterize MABS moulding and extrusion materials are listed.
The properties have been selected from the general test methods in ISO 10350. Other test methods in wide use for, or of particular significance to, these moulding and extrusion materials are also included in this part of ISO 10366, as are the designatory properties specified in Part 1.

Kunststoffe - Methylmethacrylat-Acrylnitril-Butadien-Styrol (MABS)-Formmassen - Teil 2: Herstellung von Probekörpern und Bestimmung von Eigenschaften (ISO 10366-2:2003)

1.1   Dieser Teil von ISO 10366 legt die Verfahren zur Herstellung von Probekörpern und die zur Bestim-mung der Eigenschaften von MABS-Form- und -Extrudiermassen anzuwendenden Prüfverfahren fest. Anforderungen an die Behandlung des Probenmaterials und für das Konditionieren des Probenmaterials vor der Herstellung der Probe-körper und der Probekörper vor der Prüfung sind ebenfalls enthalten.
1.2   Verfahren und Bedingungen für die Herstellung der Probekörper und Vorschriften für die Bestimmung der Eigenschaften der Formmassen, aus denen die Probekörper hergestellt werden, sind angegeben. Eigen-schaften und Prüfverfahren, die anwendbar und notwendig sind, um MABS-Formmassen zu charakterisieren, sind aufgelistet.
1.3   Die Eigenschaften wurden aus den in ISO 10350 festgelegten, allgemeinen Prüfverfahren ausgewählt. Andere weithin gebräuchliche Prüfverfahren oder solche von besonderer Bedeutung für diese Formmassen, wie die kennzeichnenden Eigenschaften aus Teil 1 dieser Norm, sind in diesen Teil von ISO 10366 aufge-nommen.
1.4   Um reproduzierbare und vergleichbare Prüfergebnisse zu erhalten, ist es notwendig, dass die hier festge-legten Bedingungen der Probekörperherstellung und -konditionierung, die Probekörper mit den hier festge-legten Abmessungen sowie die hier festgelegten Prüfverfahren angewendet werden. Die gemessenen Werte müssen nicht notwendigerweise mit denen identisch sein, die bei der Anwendung von Probekörpern anderer Abmessungen oder solchen, die mit anderen Verfahren hergestellt wurden, erhalten werden.

L'ISO 10366-2:2003 spécifie les méthodes de préparation des éprouvettes de matériaux MABS pour moulage et extrusion, ainsi que les méthodes de mesurage de leurs propriétés. Sont également données les exigences relatives à la manipulation des matériaux d'essai et au conditionnement tant du matériau d'essai avant le moulage que des éprouvettes préalablement aux essais.
Les modes opératoires et les conditions nécessaires à la préparation des éprouvettes et les modes opératoires pour le mesurage des propriétés des matériaux constituant ces éprouvettes sont précisés. La liste des propriétés et des méthodes d'essais appropriées et nécessaires pour caractériser les matériaux MABS pour moulage et extrusion est également donnée.
Les propriétés ont été sélectionnées parmi les méthodes générales d'essai traitées dans l'ISO 10350-1. D'autres méthodes couramment employées ou présentant un intérêt particulier pour ces matériaux pour moulage et extrusion sont également données dans l'ISO 10366-2:2003, de même que les propriétés de désignation spécifiées dans l'ISO 10366-1:2003.

standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by June 2004.
This document supersedes EN ISO 10366-2:1999.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
