Adhesives - Peel test for a flexible-bonded-to-rigid test specimen assembly - Part 2: 180 degree peel (ISO 8510-2:2006)

This part of ISO 8510 specifies a 180° peel test for the determination, under specified conditions, of the peel resistance of a bonded assembly of two adherends where one adherend is flexible and the other is rigid. A 90° peel test, more suitable for use with less flexible adherends that crack, break or delaminate in the 180° peel test, is described in ISO 8510-1.

Der vorliegende Teil der ISO 8510 beschreibt einen 180° Schälversuch unter festgelegten Bedingungen zur Bestimmung des Schälwiderstands von Klebungen aus zwei Fügeteilen, von denen einer flexibel und der andere starr ist.
Ein 90° Schälversuch, der für weniger flexible Fügeteile geeignet ist, die beim 180° Schälversuch reißen, brechen oder delaminieren, ist in ISO 8510 1 beschrieben.

Ta del ISO 8510 določa lupilni preskus pod kotom 180° za določevanje odpornosti proti luščenju spoja dveh lepljencev pod določenimi pogoji, pri čemer je eden gibek in drugi tog. Lupilni preskus pod kotom 90°, primernejši za uporabo pri manj gibkih lepljencih, ki pri lupilnem preskusu pod kotom 180° pokajo, se lomijo ali razcepijo, je opisan v ISO 8510-1.

The text of ISO 8510-2:2006 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 “Plastics” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 8510-2:2010 by
Technical Committee CEN/TC 193 “Adhesives” the secretariat of which is held by AENOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2011, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by March 2011.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 28510-2:1993.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.
The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards
adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an
International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote.

have been revised. In addition, minor editorial changes have been made in the text.
ISO 8510 consists of the following parts, under the general title Adhesives — Peel test for a flexible-bonded-
to-rigid test specimen assembly:
