Plastics piping and ducting systems - Thermoplastics pipes - Determination of ring flexibility (ISO 13968:2008)

This International Standard specifies a method for testing the ring flexibility of a thermoplastics pipe having a circular c ross-section. The method enables determination of the deflecti on, and necessary force, at which physical damage, if any, occ urs within the specified diametric deflection.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Prüfung der Ringflexibilität von thermoplastischen Rohren mit kreisförmigem Querschnitt fest.
Das Verfahren ermöglicht innerhalb einer festgelegten durchmesserbezogenen Verformung die Bestimmung der Verformung und der erforderlichen Kraft, bei der eine (etwaige) bleibende Verformung eintritt (siehe 7.2).

L'ISO 13968:2008 spécifie une méthode d'essai de la flexibilité annulaire d'un tube en matières thermoplastiques de section droite circulaire.
Cette méthode permet de déterminer la déformation et la force nécessaire auxquelles apparaissent, s'il y en a, des dommages à l'intérieur de la déformation du diamètre spécifiée.

This document (EN ISO 13968:2008) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 138 "Plastics pipes,
fittings and valves for the transport of fluids" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 155 “Plastics
piping systems and ducting systems” the secretariat of which is held by NEN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by April 2009.
