This document specifies a method for determining the resistance of paint films, paint systems and
related products to conditions of condensation in accordance with the requirements of coating or
product specifications.
The method is applicable to coatings, both on porous substrates such as wood, plaster and plasterboard
and on non-porous substrates such as metal. It provides an indication of the performance likely to be
obtained under severe conditions of exposure where continuous condensation occurs on the surface.
The procedure can reveal failures of the coating (including blistering, staining, softening, wrinkling
and embrittlement) and deterioration of the substrate.
NOTE The shape and preparation of the test specimens, the duration of the test and the assessment of the
test results are not covered by this document.

Dieser Teil von ISO 6270 legt ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Beständigkeit von Beschichtungen, Beschichtungssystemen und ähnlichen Produkten unter den Bedingungen hoher Feuchtigkeit fest, entsprechend den Anforderungen in Beschichtungs- oder Produktspezifikationen.
Das Verfahren ist anwendbar bei Beschichtungen sowohl auf porösen Substraten wie Holz, Gips und Gips-karton, als auch auf nichtporösen Substraten wie Metallen. Es gibt Hinweise, wie sich die Beschichtung unter harten Beanspruchungsbedingungen verhalten wird, bei denen kontinuierliche Kondensation auf der Oberfläche auftritt.
Das Verfahren kann Fehlfunktionen der Beschichtung (wie Blasenbildung, Verfärbung, Erweichen, Runzel-bildung und Versprödung) und eine Schädigung des Substrates aufdecken.

ISO 6270-1:2017 spécifié une méthode pour la détermination de la résistance d'un feuil de peinture, de systèmes de peinture et de produits assimilés à des conditions de condensation selon les exigences du revêtement ou les spécifications du produit.
La méthode est applicable aux revêtements aussi bien sur subjectiles poreux, tels que le bois, le plâtre et les plaques de plâtre, que sur subjectiles non poreux, tels que le métal. Elle donne une indication sur la performance susceptible d'être obtenue dans des conditions sévères d'exposition lorsqu'une condensation continue se produit à la surface.
Le mode opératoire peut révéler des défectuosités du revêtement (comprenant cloquage, tachage, ramollissement, frisage et fragilisation) et une détérioration du subjectile.

Ta dokument določa metodo za ugotavljanje odpornosti premaznih filmov, premaznih sistemov in sorodnih izdelkov v pogojih kondenzacije v skladu z zahtevami glede premazov ali specifikacij proizvoda.
Metoda se uporablja za premaze tako na poroznih podlagah, kot so les, mavec in mavčne plošče, kot na neporoznih podlagah, kot je kovina. Zagotavlja navedbo učinkovitosti v pogojih hude izpostavljenosti, kjer se na površini neprekinjeno ustvarja kondenzacija.

This document (EN ISO 6270-1:2018) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35/SC 9
"General test methods for paints and varnishes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139
“Paints and varnishes” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2018, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by July 2018.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 6270-1:2001.
