This European Standard applies to cutting-off grinders intended to cut metal by means of a rotating abrasive cutting-off wheel:
- with an abrasive cutting-off wheel diameter not exceeding 406 mm;
- with a peripheral speed not exceeding 80 m/s.

Deals with the safety of pedestrian-controlled mains-operated electric lawn scarifiers and aerators. These scarifiers have rotating cutters for regenerating lawns by, for instance, combing out grass thatch and moss, or by cutting vertically into the lawn face. These scarifiers are designed primarily for home use, with a rated voltage not more than 250 V single phase. For lawnmowers, see EN 60335-2-77; for lawn trimmers, see EN 60335-2-91.

Deals with the safety of hand held motor operated electric tools, particular requirements for band saws. The rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase a.c. or d.c., and 440 V for three phase a.c. tools.

Applies to transportable diamond drills with water supply having a drill bit diameter of not more than 250 mm.

This standard applies to cutting-off grinders for cutting metal. The diameter of the plain abrasive cutting-off wheel is less than 406 mm.
