Steel - Determination of nitrogen - Spectrophotometric method (ISO 4945:2018)

This document specifies a spectrophotometric method for the determination of nitrogen in steel.
The method is applicable to the determination of nitrogen mass fraction between 0,000 6 % and 0,050 % in low alloy steels and between 0,010 % and 0,050 % in high alloy steels.
The method does not apply to samples containing silicon nitrides or having silicon contents higher than 0,6 %.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode spectrophotométrique de détermination de l'azote dans l'acier.
La méthode s'applique à la détermination des teneurs en azote comprises entre 0,000 6 % et 0,050 % dans les aciers faiblement alliés et entre 0,010 % et 0,050 % dans les aciers fortement alliés.
La méthode ne s'applique pas aux échantillons contenant des nitrures de silicium ou ayant une teneur en silicium supérieure à 0,6 %.

Jeklo - Določevanje dušika - Spektrometrična metoda (ISO 4945:2018)

Ta dokument določa spektrometrično metodo za določevanje dušika v jeklu. Metoda se uporablja za določevanje masnega deleža dušika med 0,0006 % in 0,050 % v malolegiranih jeklih ter med 0,010 % in 0,050 % v močnolegiranih jeklih.
Ta metoda se ne uporablja za vzorce, ki vsebujejo silicijev nitrid ali z vsebnostjo silicija več kot 0,6 %.

This document (EN ISO 4945:2018) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 17 "Steel" in
collaboration with Technical Committee ECISS/TC 102 “Methods of chemical analysis for iron and steel
” the secretariat of which is held by SIS.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2019, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2019.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
