This European Standard specifies the technical conditions for inspection and delivery of aluminium and aluminium alloy cold drawn rod/bar and tube for general engineering applications.
This document applies to products which are extruded and then cold drawn.
This document does not apply to:
- forging stock (EN 603),
- products delivered in coils (EN 13958),
- coiled tubes cut to length (EN 13958).

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Technischen Lieferbedingungen für gezogene Stangen und Rohre aus Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen für allgemeine Anwendungen fest.
Dieses Dokument gilt für stranggepresste und anschließend gezogene Erzeugnisse.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für:
Schmiedevormaterial (EN 603);
Erzeugnisse, die aufgewickelt geliefert werden (EN 13958);
Rohre in Ringen, die auf Länge geschnitten werden (EN 13958).

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les conditions techniques de contrôle et de livraison des barres et tubes étirés en aluminium et alliages d’aluminium à usage général.
Elle s’applique aux produits qui sont filés, puis étirés à froid.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas :
- aux produits destinés à la forge (EN 603) ;
- aux produits livrés en couronnes (EN 13958) ;
- aux tubes en couronnes découpés à longueur (EN 13958).
