Safety rules for the construction and installation of lifts - Existing lifts - Part 82: Improvement of the accessibility of existing lifts for persons including persons with disability

1.1   This Technical Specification provides rules on how to apply EN 81-70 referred to in EN 81-80:2003, 5.2.1 [1] to existing lifts to improve their accessibility for persons including persons with disability.
1.2   This document applies to permanently installed lifts serving defined landing levels, having a car designed for the transportation of persons or persons and goods and moving between guide rails inclined not more than 15° to the vertical.

1.1   Die vorliegende Technische Spezifikation stellt Regeln zur Verfügung, wie die EN 81 70, auf die in EN 81 80:2003, 5.2.1 [1], verwiesen wird, auf bestehende Aufzüge angewendet werden kann, um deren Zugänglichkeit für Personen, einschließlich Personen mit Behinderungen, zu verbessern.
1.2   Das vorliegende Dokument gilt für dauerhaft eingebaute Aufzüge, die definierte Haltestellen bedienen, über einen für die Beförderung von Personen oder Personen und Lasten ausgelegten Fahrkorb verfügen und sich zwischen Führungsschienen bewegen, die zur Senkrechten um nicht mehr als 15° geneigt sind.

1.1   La présente Spécification technique fournit des règles sur la façon d'appliquer la norme EN 81-70 à laquelle il est fait référence dans la norme EN 81-80:2003, 5.2.1 [1] aux ascenseurs existants, et ce afin d’améliorer leur accessibilité pour les personnes dont les personnes avec handicap.
1.2   Le présent document s’applique aux ascenseurs installés de façon permanente et desservant des paliers définis, à la conception d'une cabine adaptée au transport des personnes ou des personnes et des marchandises, et au déplacement entre des rails inclinés à un angle maximal de 15° par rapport à la verticale.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 25 September 2007 for provisional application.
The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to submit their
comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.
CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS available
promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in parallel to the CEN/TS)
until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
