Protective clothing - Test methods for clothing providing protection against chemicals - Part 3: Determination of resistance to penetration by a jet of liquid (jet test) (ISO 17491-3:2008)

ISO 17491-3:2008 specifies a test method for determining the resistance of protective clothing against penetration by a jet of liquid.
ISO 17491-3:2008 is applicable to clothing with liquid-tight connections between different parts of the clothing and, if applicable, between the clothing and other items of personal protective equipment worn with it.
ISO 17491-3:2008 does not address chemical permeation resistance of the clothing materials, which is specified in other standards.

Dieser Teil von ISOISO  17491 gilt für Kleidung mit flüssigkeitsdichten Verbindungen zwischen verschiedenen Teilen der Kleidung und, sofern zutreffend, zwischen der Kleidung und gleichzeitig getragenen anderen Gegenständen persönlicher Schutzausrüstung.
Dieser Teil von ISOISO  17491 gilt nicht für die Beständigkeit gegen Permeation von Chemikalien durch Materialien, die in anderen Normen festgelegt ist.

L'ISO 17491-3:2008 spécifie une méthode d'essai pour la détermination de la résistance à la pénétration par un jet de liquide des vêtements de protection.
L'ISO 17491-3:2008 s'applique aux vêtements ayant des coutures étanches entre les différentes parties du vêtement, et, le cas échéant, entre le vêtement et les autres équipements de protection individuelle portés en association.
L'ISO 17491-3:2008 ne traite pas de la résistance à la perméation chimique des matériaux du vêtement, spécifiée dans d'autres normes.

EN ISO 17491-3:2008 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN ISO 17491-3:2008) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 162 "Protective clothing including hand and arm protection and lifejackets", the secretariat of which is held by DIN, in collaboration with Technical Committee ISO/TC 94 "Personal safety - Protective clothing and equipment". This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2009. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 463:1994.
