Agricultural and forestry machinery - Inspection of sprayers and liquid fertilizer distributors in use - Part 1: General (ISO/DIS 16122-1:2011)

This International Standard applies to all types of machinery for pesticide application applicators used in agriculture, horticulture, forestry and other areas.
ISO 16122 specifies the requirements and test methods for the inspection of machines in use.
It relates mainly to the condition of the machine with respect to its potential risk for the environment and its performance to achieve a good application.
This part of ISO 16122 defines the general requirements to be fulfilled. The specific requirements to the different types of machines are defined in the relevant specific parts. The scope of each specific part is defined in Annex A, normative.
It also includes minimum safety requirements dealing with the operator’s safety during inspection.

Diese Internationale Norm gilt für alle Arten von Pflanzenschutzgeräten zum Ausbringen von Pflanzenschutzmitteln
und flüssigen Düngemitteln, die in der Landwirtschaft, dem Gartenbau, der Forstwirtschaft und anderen
Bereichen verwendet werden. Diese werden im vorliegenden Teil als „Geräte“ bezeichnet.
ISO 16122 legt die Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für die Sichtkontrolle von in Gebrauch befindlichen Geräten
fest.
Dieser Teil legt auch Mindestanforderungen an die Vorbereitung des Gerätes für die Prüfung fest.
Dieser Teil befasst sich in erster Linie mit dem Gerätezustand hinsichtlich des potenziellen Risikos für die
Umwelt und der Funktionsfähigkeit zum Erzielen einer anwendungsgerechten Leistung.
Dieser Teil von ISO 16122 legt die zu erfüllenden allgemeinen Anforderungen fest. Die besonderen Anforderungen
an die verschiedenen Gerätearten sind in den entsprechenden besonderen Teilen festgelegt. Der Anwendungsbereich
jedes besonderen Teils ist in Anhang A festgelegt.
Dieser Teil enthält auch Mindestanforderungen hinsichtlich der Sicherheit des Prüfpersonals (ausführender
Prüfer) während der Gerätekontrolle.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be repr esented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.
