(informative)
Relationship between this European Standard and the essential health and
safety and environmental requirements of Directive 2009/128/EC
This European Standard has been prepared under Commission’s standardization request "M/435 Mandate
to CEN, CENELEC and ETSI for the development of a standard on inspection of pesticide application
equipment in use" to provide one voluntary means of conforming to health and safety and environmental
requirements of the Directive 2009/128/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October
2009 establishing a framework for Community action to achieve the sustainable use of pesticides [OJ L 309].
Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive, compliance
with the normative clauses of this standard given in Table ZA.1 confers, within the limits of the scope of this
standard, a presumption of conformity with the corresponding health and safety and environmental
requirements, of that Directive and associated EFTA regulations.
