Plastics piping systems for the supply of gaseous fuels - Polyethylene (PE) - Part 4: Valves

This European Standard specifies the characteristics of valves made from polyethylene (PE) for piping systems in the field of the supply of gaseous fuels.
NOTE 1   Valves made from other material than polyethylene designed for the supply of gaseous fuels conforming to the relevant standards are permitted to be used in PE piping system according to EN 1555 provided they have relevant PE connection for butt fusion or electrofusion ends (see EN 1555 3).
It also specifies the test parameters for the test methods referred to in this standard.
In conjunction with Parts 1, 2, 3 and 5 of EN 1555, it is applicable to PE valves, their joints and to joints with components of PE and other materials intended to be used under the following conditions:
a) a maximum operating pressure, MOP, up to and including 10 bar  );
b) an operating temperature of 20 °C as reference temperature;
NOTE 2   For other operating temperatures, derating coefficients should be used, see EN 1555 5.
c) an operating temperature between -20 °C and +40 °C.
EN 1555 covers a range of maximum operating pressures and gives requirements concerning colours and additives.
NOTE 3   It is the responsibility of the purchaser or specifier to make the appropriate selections from these aspects, taking into account their particular requirements and any relevant national regulations and installation practices or codes.
It is applicable to bi-directional valves with spigot end or electrofusion socket intended to be fused with PE pipes conforming to EN 1555 2 without any fittings or with PE fittings conforming to EN 1555 3.
This European Standard covers valves for pipes with a nominal outside diameter dn  315 mm.

Kunststoff-Rohrleitungssysteme für die Gasversorgung - Polyethylen (PE) - Teil 4: Armaturen

Dieser Teil der EN 1555 legt Anforderungen an Armaturen aus Polyethylen (PE) fest, die in Rohrleitungs-systemen für die Gasversorgung eingesetzt werden.
ANMERKUNG 1   Armaturen aus anderen Werkstoffen als Polyethylen (PE), die ebenfalls für den Einsatz in der Gas¬ver-sorgung vorgesehen sind und die Anforderungen der entsprechenden Normen erfüllen, dürfen in Rohrleitungs-systemen aus PE nach EN 1555 eingebaut werden, wenn die Schweißbarkeit mit den entsprechenden Anschlüssen aus PE mittels Stumpf- oder Heizwendelschweißung (siehe EN 1555-3) sichergestellt ist.
Sie legt auch die Prüfparameter für die Prüfverfahren fest, auf die in dieser Norm verwiesen wird.
In Verbindung mit den Teilen 1, 2, 3 und 5 der EN 1555 gilt dieser Teil für Armaturen aus PE, deren Verbin-dungen untereinander sowie mit anderen Rohrleitungsteilen aus PE und anderen Werkstoffen, für die folgen-den Anwendungsbedingungen vorgesehen sind:
a)   ein maximal zulässiger Betriebsdruck MOP bis einschließlich 10 bar );
b)   eine Betriebstemperatur von 20 °C als Bezugstemperatur;
ANMERKUNG 2   Für andere Betriebstemperaturen sollten Minderungsfaktoren verwendet werden, siehe EN 1555 5.
c)   eine Betriebstemperatur zwischen 20 °C und 40 °C.
EN 1555 (alle Teile) enthält Festlegungen zu maximal zulässigen Betriebsdrücken und legt Anforderungen an die Einfärbung von Rohrleitungsteilen sowie die Verwendung von Zusatzstoffen fest.
ANMERKUNG 3   Der Anwender bzw. Auftraggeber ist unter Berücksichtigung der eigenen Anforderungen sowie der geltenden nationalen Festlegungen und Verlegepraktiken für die entsprechende Auswahl dieser Kriterien verantwortlich.
Diese Norm gilt auch für Armaturen ohne definierte Durchflussrichtung, deren Schweißende oder Heizwendel- Schweißmuffe zum Verschweißen mit Rohren aus PE nach EN 1555-2 ohne Formstücke oder mit Form¬stücken aus PE nach EN 1555-3 bestimmt ist.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Armaturen für Rohre mit einem Nenn-Außendurchmesser dn  315 mm.

Systèmes de canalisations en plastique pour la distribution de combustibles gazeux - Polyéthylène (PE) - Partie 4 : Robinets

La présente partie de l’EN 1555 spécifie les caractéristiques des robinets en polyéthylène (PE) pour les systèmes de canalisations destinés à la distribution de combustibles gazeux.
NOTE 1   Les robinets fabriqués à partir d'autres matières que le polyéthylène conçus pour la distribution de combustibles gazeux, conformes aux normes correspondantes, peuvent être utilisés dans les systèmes de canalisations en PE conformément à l’EN 1555 à condition qu'ils aient des extrémités adaptées à l’assemblage par soudage bout à bout ou par électrosoudage (voir l’EN 1555 3).
Elle spécifie également les paramètres d'essai des méthodes d'essai auxquelles il est fait référence dans la présente norme.
Conjointement avec les parties 1, 2, 3 et 5 de l’EN 1555, elle s’applique aux robinets en PE et à leurs assemblages, ainsi qu'à leurs assemblages avec des composants en PE et en d’autres matières destinés à être utilisés dans les conditions suivantes :
a)   une pression maximale de service, MOP, jusqu’à et y compris 10 bar ) ;
b)   une température de service de 20 °C, comme température de référence ;
NOTE 2   Pour d'autres températures de service, il convient d’utiliser des facteurs de réduction, voir l’EN 1555 5.
c)   une température de service comprise entre – 20 °C et + 40 °C.
L'EN 1555 (toutes parties) couvre une gamme de pressions maximales de service et donne les exigences concernant les couleurs et les additifs.
NOTE 3   Il est de la responsabilité de l'acheteur ou du prescripteur de faire les choix appropriés de ces différents aspects, en tenant compte des exigences particulières et des règlements nationaux correspondants, ainsi que des pratiques ou des codes de pose.
Elle s'applique aux robinets bidirectionnels avec des extrémités à bout mâle ou des emboîtures électrosoudables prévues pour être soudées à des tubes en PE conformes à l’EN 1555 2 sans aucun raccord ou avec des raccords en PE conformes à l’EN 1555 3.
La présente Norme européenne traite des robinets pour les tubes ayant un diamètre extérieur nominal dn ≤ 315 mm.

Cevni sistemi iz polimernih materialov za oskrbo s plinastimi gorivi - Polietilen (PE) - 4. del: Ventili

Ta del EN 1555 določa značilnosti ventilov iz polietilena (PE) za cevne sisteme na področju oskrbe s plinastimi gorivi.
OPOMBA 1: S PE-cevnimi sistemi v skladu z EN 155 se smejo uporabljati ventili, narejeni iz drugih materialov kot polietilena, ki so namenjeni oskrbi s plinastimi gorivi in so v skladu z ustreznimi standardi, pod pogojem, da imajo ustrezne PE-priključke za soležno taljene ali elektrofuzijske konce (glej prEN 1555 3:2009).
Določa tudi preskusne parametre za preskusne metode, navedene v tem standardu.
Skupaj z drugimi deli EN 1555 velja za PE-ventile, njihove spoje in spoje s komponentami iz PE in drugih materialov, namenjene uporabi v naslednjih pogojih:
a) najvišji obratovalni tlak, MOP, do vključno 10 bar,
b) obratovalna temperatura 20 °C kot referenčna temperatura,
OPOMBA 2: Pri drugih obratovalnih temperaturah se morajo uporabiti redukcijski koeficienti, glej prEN 1555 5:2009.

EN 1555 zajema razpon najvišjih obratovalnih tlakov in podaja zahteve glede barv in aditivov.
OPOMBA 3: Za ustrezno izbiro med temi vidiki je odgovoren kupec ali specifikator, pri čemer mora upoštevati konkretne zahteve in vse pomembne nacionalne predpise in prakse ali kodekse vgradnje.
Velja za dvosmerne ventile s spojnim zatičem ali elektrofuzijskimi vtiči, ki se združijo s PE-pipami v skladu s prEN 1555 2:2009 brez fitingov ali s PE-fitingi v skladu s prEN 1555 3:2009.
