La présente partie de l'ISO 7201 établit les spécifications
  applicables aux hydrocarbures halogénés suivants pour une utilisation
  comme agents extincteurs :
a) halon 1211 [difluorochlorobromométhane (CF2ClBr)];
b) halon 1301 [trifluorobromométhane (CF3Br)].
La présente partie de l'ISO 7201 ne vise pas les conditions de mise
  en oeuvre de ces produits dans les équipements de lutte contre l'incendie.
  Ces derniers (extincteurs portatifs, installations fixes, etc.) feront l'objet
  de futures Normes internationales.

IS0 7201-1 : 1989 (E) Foreword IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (IS0 member bodies). The work of pwparing International Standards is normally carried out through IS0 technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, govern- mental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. IS0 collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for approval before their acceptance as International Standards by the IS0 Council. IS0 7201-1 : 1989 (E) Introduction This International Standard is one of a series giving specifications for fire extinguishing media in common use and which are in need of standardization for fire fighting pur- poses. These specifications are designed to establish that the medium in question has at least a minimum useful fire extinguishing capability and can therefore be reasonably sold for fire extinguishing purposes.
