Building hardware - Mechanically operated locks and locking plates - Requirements and test methods
This European Standard specifies requirements and test methods for durability, strength, security and functionality of mechanically operated locks and their locking plates:
a) for use in doors in buildings;
b) for use on fire and smoke compartmentation doors fitted with door closing devices, to enable such doors to close reliably and thus achieve self-closing in the event of fire; and
c) for use on locked fire doors to maintain the fire integrity of the door assembly.
This European standard covers locks and their locking plates which are either manufactured and placed on the market in their entirety by one producer or produced by more than one producer, or assembled from sub-assemblies produced by more than one producer and designed to be used in combination.
This European Standard specifies mechanically operated locks and locking systems intended for use in different environmental and security conditions, thus necessitating different grades.
This European standard does not specify Multipoint locks or their locking plates which are specified by prEN 15685.
This European Standard specifies the dimensions and properties required for security
Assessment of the contribution of the product to the fire resistance of specific fire resistance and/or smoke control door set assemblies is beyond the scope of this European Standard.
Schlösser und Baubeschläge - Mechanisch betätigte Schlösser und Schließbleche - Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren
Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für die Dauerfunktionstüchtigkeit, Festigkeit, Schutzwirkung und Wirkungsweise von mechanisch betätigten Schlössern und deren Schließblechen fest:
a) zur Verwendung an Türen in Gebäuden;
b) zur Verwendung an Türen zwischen Brand- und Rauchabschnitten, die mit Türschließmitteln ausgestattet sind, damit diese Türen zuverlässig schließen und ein selbsttätiges Schließen im Brandfall erreicht ist; und
c) zur Verwendung an verschlossenenN2) Brandschutztüren, um den Raumabschluss der Tür aufrecht zu erhalten.
Diese Europäische Norm umfasst Schlösser und deren Schließbleche, die entweder in ihrer Gesamtheit durch einen oder mehrere Hersteller gefertigt und in den Handel gebracht werden oder durch mehr als einen Hersteller aus Baugruppen montiert werden und dazu ausgelegt sind, als Kombination verwendet zu werden.
Diese Europäische Norm trifft Festlegungen für Schlösser und deren Schließbleche, die für den Einsatz unter unter¬schiedlichen Umgebungs und Sicherheitsbedingungen vorgesehen sind und folglich unterschiedliche Klassen erfordern.
Diese Europäische Norm trifft keine Festlegungen für Mehrfachverriegelungen und deren Schließbleche, die in prEN 15685 behandelt werden.
Diese Europäische Norm legt die für die Schutzwirkung erforderlichen Maße und Eigenschaften fest.
Die Bewertung des Produktbeitrags zum Feuerwiderstand von bestimmten Feuerschutz- und/oder Rauchschutztürelementen gehört nicht zum Anwendungsbereich dieser Europäischen Norm.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences et les méthodes d'essai relatives à l'endurance, la résistance, la sécurité et la fonctionnalité des serrures manœuvrées mécaniquement et de leurs gâches lors de leur utilisation :
a) sur des portes de bâtiments ;
b) sur des portes de compartimentation coupe-feu et pare-fumées équipées de dispositifs de fermeture, pour permettre à ces portes de se fermer de manière fiable et garantir ainsi leur fermeture automatique en cas d'incendie ; et
c) sur des portes coupe-feu verrouillées pour assurer l'intégrité du bloc-porte.
La présente Norme européenne couvre les serrures et leurs gâches qui sont soit fabriquées et mises sur le marché dans leur intégralité par un seul fabricant, soit produites par plusieurs fabricants, soit assemblées à partir de sous-ensembles produits par plusieurs fabricants et conçus pour être combinés.
La présente Norme européenne spécifie les serrures et systèmes de verrouillage manœuvrés mécaniquement et destinés à être utilisés dans différents environnements et conditions de sécurité, ce qui implique la nécessité de définir différents grades.
La présente Norme européenne ne spécifie pas les serrures multipoints et leurs gâches, qui sont définies dans le prEN 15685.
La présente Norme européenne spécifie les dimensions et propriétés requises dans le cadre de la sécurité.
L'évaluation de la contribution du produit à la résistance au feu des blocs-portes coupe-feu et/ou pare-fumée spécifiques n'entre pas dans le domaine d'application de la présente Norme européenne.

Ta evropski standard določa zahteve in preskusne metode za trajnost, trdnost, varnost ter funkcionalnost mehanskih ključavnic in njihovih prijemnikov:
a) za uporabo na vratih v stavbah;
b) za uporabo na vratih za zajezitev ognja in dima z nameščenimi napravami za zapiranje vrat, da se tovrstnim vratom omogoči zanesljivo zapiranje in s tem posledično samozapiranje v primeru požara; in
c) za uporabo na zaklenjenih požarnih vratih za ohranitev protipožarne celovitosti sestava vrat.
Ta evropski standard obravnava ključavnice in njihove prijemnike, ki jih je v celoti izdelal in uvedel na trg en proizvajalec ali jih je izdelal več kot en proizvajalec ali so bili sestavljeni iz podsestavov, ki jih je izdelal več kot en proizvajalec in so bili zasnovani za skupno uporabo.
Ta evropski standard obravnava mehanske ključavnice in sisteme zaklepanja, ki so namenjeni za uporabo v različnih okoljskih in varnostnih pogojih, zaradi česar so razvrščeni v različne razrede.
