Fire detection and fire alarm systems - Part 16: Voice alarm control and indicating equipment

This European Standard specifies requirements, methods of test and performance criteria for voice alarm control and indicating equipment for use in fire detection and fire alarm systems installed in buildings, where the alarm signal is in the form of tone(s) or voice message(s), or both.
It also provides for the evaluation of conformity of the equipment to the requirements of this European Standard.
NOTE   The overall requirements of a voice alarm system, especially concerning audibility and intelligibility, are not covered in this part of EN 54. The manufacturer should consider requirements of an overall system that may affect the equipment design. Such system requirements may be specified in another part of EN 54, in national legislation, codes and standards or in contractual documents.

Brandmeldeanlagen - Teil 16: Sprachalarmzentralen

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen, Prüfverfahren und Leistungsmerkmale für Sprachalarm¬zentralen zur Verwendung in Brandmeldeanlagen fest, die in Gebäuden errichtet werden, bei denen das Alarmsignal in Form von Tönen oder gesprochener Meldungen oder beidem übertragen wird.
Sie ist auch eine Grundlage für die Bewertung der Konformität von Einrichtungen mit den Anforderungen dieser Europäische Norm.
ANMERKUNG   Die Gesamtanforderungen einer Sprachalarmanlage, insbesondere hinsichtlich Hörbarkeit und Verständlichkeit, werden in diesem Teil von EN 54 nicht behandelt. Der Hersteller sollte Anforderungen eines Gesamtsystems berücksichtigen, das die Ausführung der Komponenten beeinflussen kann. Derartige System¬anforderungen können in einem weiteren Teil der EN 54, in der nationalen Gesetzgebung, Vorschriften und Normen oder in Vertragsunterlagen festgelegt werden.

Systèmes de détection et d'alarme incendie - Partie 16: Elément central du système d'alarme incendie vocale

La présente Norme européenne prescrit les exigences, les méthodes d'essai et les critères de performance des équipements de contrôle et de signalisation d'alarme vocale destinés à être utilisés dans les systèmes de détection et d'alarme incendie installés dans les bâtiments où le signal sonore d'alarme retentit sous la forme de tonalité(s) et/ou de message(s) vocal(aux).
Elle prescrit également l'évaluation de la conformité de l'équipement conformément aux exigences de la présente Norme européenne.
NOTE   Les exigences générales d'un système d'alarme vocale, notamment celles relatives à l'audibilité et à l'intelligibilité, ne sont pas couvertes par cette partie de l'EN 54. Il convient que le constructeur prenne en compte les exigences d'un système général qui peuvent affecter la conception de l'équipement. De telles exigences de système peuvent être spécifiées dans une autre partie de l'EN 54, dans des législations, des codes et normes nationaux ou dans des documents contractuels.
