Glass in furniture - Test methods
This European Standard specifies test methods for horizontal and vertical glass used in furniture. It applies to both flat and curved glass.
The test methods can be applied to furniture in all fields of application from domestic to contract use.
The test methods are designed to represent forces caused by impacts with parts of the human body.
The test methods do not apply to glass shelves nor to glass supported over its entire area, including wall fixed mirrors.
The standard does not apply to testing and classification of the glass itself as covered by EN 12600.The standard does not include any requirements.
Glas in Möbeln - Prüfverfahren
Diese Europäische Norm legt Prüfverfahren für horizontales und vertikales Glas für die Verwendung in Möbeln fest. Sie gilt für ebenes und auch für gewölbtes Glas.
Die Prüfverfahren können für Möbel in allen Bereichen des privaten und gewerblichen Umfelds angewendet werden.
Die Prüfverfahren sind für die Darstellung von Kräften ausgelegt, die infolge von Stoßeinwirkungen durch Teile des menschlichen Körpers auftreten.
Die Prüfverfahren sind nicht anzuwenden bei Glaseinlegeböden und bei ganzflächig aufliegendem Glas, einschließlich wandbefestigter Spiegel.
Die Norm ist nicht anzuwenden für die Prüfung und Klassifizierung von Glas, wie in EN 12600 festgelegt. Die Norm enthält keine Anforderungen.
Verre en ameublement - Méthodes d'essai
La présente Norme européenne spécifie des méthodes d'essai pour du verre intégré dans un meuble et placé de façon horizontale ou verticale. Elle s'applique au verre plat et au verre bombé.
Les méthodes d'essai peuvent être appliquées aux meubles dans tous les domaines d'utilisation du domestique au collectif.
Les méthodes d'essai sont conçues de manière à représenter les forces provoquées par des chocs des parties du corps humain.
Les méthodes d'essai ne s'appliquent pas aux étagères en verre et au verre supporté sur toute sa surface, y compris les miroirs fixés au mur.
La norme ne s'applique pas aux essais et à la classification du verre lui-même tel que définis dans l'EN 12600.
La norme n'inclut aucune exigence.
