ISO 17831-1:2015 defines a determination method for testing the mechanical durability of pellets. The mechanical durability is a measure of the resistance of compressed fuels towards shocks and/or abrasion as a consequence of handling and transportation.

Namenjen je osebam in organizacijami, ki proizvajajo, načrtujejo, prodajajo, sestavljajo ali uporabljajo stroje, opremo, orodja in celotne obrate, povezane s peleti ter osebam in organizacijam, ki se ukvarjajo s proizvajanjem, nakupom, prodajo in uporabo peletov. Odpornost je merilo odpornosti stisnjenega goriva na udarce in/ali obrabo, ki se pojavi pri prevozu goriva ali delu z njim.

This document (EN ISO 17831-1:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 238 "Solid
biofuels" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 335 “Solid biofuels” the secretariat of
which is held by SIS.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2016, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2016.

1 Anwendungsbereich
Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen an und das Verfahren für die Prüfung der mechanischen Festigkeit
von Pellets fest. Es ist für Personen und Organisationen bestimmt, die im Zusammenhang mit diesen Pellets
Maschinen, Ausrüstung, Werkzeuge und vollständige Anlagen herstellen, planen, verkaufen, montieren oder
anwenden, und für alle Personen und Organisationen, die an der Herstellung, dem Einkauf, dem Verkauf und
der Nutzung von Pellets beteiligt sind.
Die Festigkeit ist das Maß für die Beständigkeit von gepressten Brennstoffen gegenüber Stoß und/oder Abrieb
infolge von Handhabungs- und Transportprozessen.
