Welding consumables - Procurement of filler materials and fluxes (ISO 14344:2010)
ISO 14344:2010 specifies tools for communication between a purchaser and a supplier of welding consumables within quality systems, such as those based upon ISO 9001.
In production, the components of welding consumables are divided into discrete, predetermined quantities so that satisfactory tests with a sample from that quantity will establish that the entire quantity meets specification requirements. These quantities, known by such terms as heats, lots, blends, batches and mixes, vary in size according to the manufacturer. For identification purposes, each manufacturer assigns a unique designation to each quantity. This designation usually consists of a series of numbers or letters, or combinations thereof, which will enable the manufacturer to determine the date and time (or shift) of manufacture, the type and source of the raw materials used, and the details of the procedures used in producing the welding consumable. This designation stays with the welding consumable and can be used to identify the material later, in those cases in which identification is necessary.
ISO 14344:2010, together with an applicable International Standard or other standard for welding consumables, provides a method for preparing those specific details needed for welding consumable procurement which consist of: a) the welding consumable classification (selected from the applicable International Standard or other standard for welding consumables); b) the lot classification; c) the testing schedule.
Selection of the specific welding consumable classification, lot classification, and testing schedule depends upon the requirements of the application for which the welding consumable is being procured.
ISO 14344:2010 does not apply to non-consumable electrodes or shielding gases.
Schweißzusätze - Beschaffung von Schweißzusätzen (ISO 14344:2010)
Diese Internationale Norm dient zur Verständigung zwischen einem Käufer und einem Lieferer von Schweiß-zusätzen im Zusammenhang mit Qualitätssicherungssystemen, zum Beispiel auf der Grundlage von ISO 9001 [1].
Bei der Fertigung werden die Bestandteile der Schweißzusätze so in einzelne, vorher festgelegte Mengen unterteilt, dass zufriedenstellende Prüfungen mit einer Probe aus einer solchen Menge den Nachweis liefern, dass die Gesamtmenge die Anforderungen der Spezifikation erfüllt. Diese Mengen sind bekannt unter den Begriffen Schmelzen, Fertigungseinheiten, Gemische, Chargen sowie Mischungen und unterscheiden sich herstellerbedingt in ihrer Größe. Zur Identifizierung ordnet jeder Hersteller jeder Menge eine eindeutige Bezeichnung zu. Üblicherweise besteht diese Bezeichnung aus einer Folge von Ziffern oder Buchstaben oder einer Kombination daraus. Sie ermöglicht dem Hersteller, Tag und Zeit (oder Schicht) der Fertigung, den Typ und die Herkunft der verwendeten Rohstoffe sowie die Einzelheiten der Fertigungsschritte des Schwei߬zusatzes zu ermitteln. Diese Bezeichnung behält der Schweißzusatz, und sie kann später bei Bedarf zur Identifizierung des Schweißzusatzes verwendet werden.
Diese Internationale Norm liefert in Verbindung mit einer ISO- oder einer anderen anerkannten Schweiß-zusatznorm ein Verfahren, alle kennzeichnenden Einzelheiten zusammenzustellen, die zur Beschaffung eines Schweißzusatzes erforderlich sind. Es handelt sich um:
a) die Einteilung des Schweißzusatzes (ausgewählt aus der zutreffenden Internationalen Norm oder einer anderen Schweißzusatznorm);
b) die Einteilung der Fertigungseinheit (ausgewählt nach Abschnitt 4);
c) den Prüfumfang (ausgewählt nach Abschnitt 5).
Die Auswahl der kennzeichnenden Schweißzusatzeinteilung, der Einteilung der Fertigungseinheit und des Prüfumfangs hängen von den Anforderungen des Anwendungsfalles ab, für den der Schweißzusatz beschafft werden soll.

Produits consommables pour le soudage - Approvisionnement en matériaux d'apport et flux (ISO 14344:2010)
L'ISO 14344:2010 spécifie un outil de communication entre un acheteur et un fournisseur de produits consommables pour le soudage dans le cadre de systèmes qualité, tels que ceux basés sur l'ISO 9001.
En production, les constituants des produits consommables pour le soudage sont divisés en grandeurs discrètes et prédéterminées, de sorte que des essais ou contrôles satisfaisants, sur un échantillon prélevé sur une quantité donnée, prouvent que toute la grandeur satisfait aux exigences de la spécification. Ces grandeurs, désignées sous le nom de coulées, lots, mélanges et charges, ont des dimensions qui varient selon le fabricant. Á des fins d'identification, chaque fabricant attribue une désignation unique à chaque grandeur. Cette désignation est généralement constituée d'une série de chiffres ou de lettres, ou d'une combinaison alphanumérique, qui permet au fabricant de déterminer la date et l'heure (ou l'équipe) de fabrication, le type et la source des matières premières utilisées, et les détails sur les méthodes utilisées pour fabriquer le produit consommable pour le soudage. Cette désignation accompagne le produit consommable pour le soudage et peut être utilisée pour identifier ultérieurement le matériau, dans les cas où l'identification est nécessaire.
L'ISO 14344:2010, combinée à une Norme internationale ou à une autre norme applicable de produits consommables pour le soudage, fournit une méthode permettant de mettre au point les détails spécifiques nécessaires à l'approvisionnement en produits consommables pour le soudage et comportant les aspects suivants: a) la classification des produits consommables pour le soudage (choisie d'après la Norme internationale ou une autre norme applicable de produits consommables); b) la classification des lots; c) le programme de contrôle.
Le choix de la classification spécifique des produits consommables pour le soudage, de la classification des lots et du programme de contrôle dépend des exigences de l'application à laquelle le produit consommable est destiné.
L'ISO 14344:2010 ne s'applique pas aux électrodes non consommables ou aux gaz de protection.

Ta mednarodni standard določa orodja za komunikacijo med kupcem in dobaviteljem dodajnih in potrošnih materialov za varjenje v sistemih kakovosti, npr. sistemih kakovosti, ki temeljijo na ISO 9001[1]. Pri proizvodnji se komponente dodajnih in potrošnih materialov za varjenje razdelijo v ločene, vnaprej določene količine, tako da se z zadostnimi preskusi z vzorcem, vzetim iz te količine, ugotovi, da kakovost celote ustreza zahtevam specifikacije. Te količine, znane pod imenom šarže, loti, zmesi, serije in mešanice, se razlikujejo po velikosti glede na proizvajalca. Vsak proizvajalec vsaki količini dodeli edinstveno oznako za identifikacijo.
