EN 50216-5 specifies the liquid level, pressure and flow indicators, pressure relief devices and dehydrating breathers for power transformer and reactor fittings. Except where otherwise specified or implied herein the above fittings shall comply with the requirements of EN 50216-1.

EN 50216-5 legt Anforderungen an Flüssigkeitsstandanzeiger, Druckanzeigeeinrichtungen und Durchflussanzeiger, Druckentlastungsventile und Luftentfeuchter als Zubehör für Transformatoren und Drosselspulen fest. Mit Ausnahme von anderweitigen Festlegungen oder solchen, die hierin enthalten sind, muss das angegebene Zubehör mit den Anforderungen von EN 50216-1 übereinstimmen.

Sauf spécification contraire ici, les accessoires ci-dessus doivent être conformes aux exigences de la EN 50216-1.

The text of the draft was submitted to the formal vote and was approved by CENELEC as
EN 50216-5 on 2001-09-25.
The following dates were fixed:
- latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2002-10-01
- latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2004-10-01
EN 50216-5 is to be read in conjunction with EN 50216-1.
