Fixed capacitors for use in electronic equipment - Part 16: Sectional specification - Fixed metallized polypropylene film dielectric DC capacitors

IEC 60384-16:2019 applies to fixed capacitors with metallized electrodes and poly­propylene dielectric for use in electronic equipment. These capacitors can have "self-healing properties" depending on conditions of use. They are mainly intended for use with direct voltage. Capacitors for alternating voltage and pulse applications are not included, but are covered by IEC 60384-17. Capacitors for electromagnetic interference suppression are not included, but are covered by IEC 60384-14. Capacitors for electrical shock hazard protection (covered by IEC 60065) and fluorescent lamp and motor capacitors are also excluded.

L'IEC 60384-16:2019 s'applique aux condensateurs fixes à électrodes métallisées et à diélectrique en polypropylène destinés aux équipements électroniques. Ces condensateurs peuvent avoir des propriétés "autocicatrisantes" en fonction des conditions d'utilisation. Ils sont principalement destinés à être utilisés dans des applications en tension continue. Les condensateurs destinés à des applications en tension alternative et en impulsions ne sont pas inclus, mais ils sont couverts par l'IEC 60384-17. Les condensateurs d'antiparasitage ne sont pas inclus, mais ils sont couverts par l'IEC 60384-14. Les condensateurs de protection contre les chocs électriques (couverts par l'IEC 60065), ainsi que les condensateurs pour moteurs et pour lampes fluorescentes sont également exclus.

Ta del standarda se uporablja za nespremenljive kondenzatorje z metaliziranimi elektrodami in polipropilenskim dielektrikom za uporabo v elektronski opremi. Ti kondenzatorji imajo lahko »samoozdravljive lastnosti«, odvisno od pogojev uporabe. Večinoma so namenjeni uporabi z enosmerno napetostjo. Največja moč, ki se jo uporabi, je 500 var pri 50 Hz in največja temenska napetost je 2500 V. Zajeta sta naslednja dva razreda, in sicer a) razred 1 za dolgotrajno uporabo in b) razred 2 za splošno uporabo. Kondenzatorji za izmenično napetost in impulzno uporabo niso vključeni, vendar so zajeti v standardu IEC 60384-17. Kondenzatorji za preprečevanje elektromagnetnih motenj niso vključeni, vendar so zajeti v standardu IEC 60384-14. Izključeni so tudi kondenzatorji za zaščito pred električnim udarom (zajeti v standardu IEC 60065) ter kondenzatorji v fluorescenčnih sijalkah in motorjih.

1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising

all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote

international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To

a) revision of the structure in accordance with ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2: 2016 to the extent

practicable, and harmonization between other similar kinds of documents;

b) in addition, Clause 4 and all the tables have been reviewed in order to prevent
