This part of IEC 61076 covers 10-way, shielded, free and fixed rectangular connectors for data transmission with frequencies up to 500 MHz and specifies the common dimensions, mechanical, electrical and transmission characteristics and environmental requirements as well as test specifications respectively. Connectors covered in this document are provided in three codings that differ only for the position of the polarization key and keyway, in view of their differently intended use: - Connectors Type A and C are intended for 10/100 Mbit/s as well as for 1/ 2,5 / 5 /10 Gbit/s Ethernet communication. - Connectors Type B are intended for all other non-Ethernet applications such as signalling, serial or other industrial bus communication systems. A-coding: The 45° cut corner used as polarization key and keyway system is located on the lower left corner of the male fixed connector (viewed from mating face) (Figures 5a, 5b). B-coding: The 45° cut corner is located on the upper left corner of the male fixed connector (Figures 5c, 5d). C-coding: There are two 45° corners located at the upper left and lower left corner (Figures 5e, 5f). In this document, the three codings, A, B, and C are designated as "Type A", "Type B" and .Type C".

La présente partie de l'IEC 61076 couvre les fiches et les embases rectangulaires écrantées à 10 voies pour la transmission de données à des fréquences jusqu'à 500 MHz et elle spécifie les dimensions communes, les caractéristiques mécaniques, électriques et de transmission et les exigences environnementales ainsi que les spécifications d'essais. Les connecteurs couverts par le présent document sont codés de trois manières différentes pour indiquer la position de la clé de polarisation et du système de détrompage, en fonction de l'utilisation prévue: - Les connecteurs de Type A et C sont destinés à des applications de communication Ethernet jusqu'à 10/100 Mbit/s, mais aussi jusqu'à 1/2,5/5/10 Gbit/s. - Les connecteurs de Type B sont destinés à toutes les autres applications "non Ethernet" telles que les systèmes de signalisation, les systèmes de communication sur des bus séries ou industriels. Codage A: un bord coupé à 45°, servant de clé de polarisation et de système de détrompage, situé en bas à gauche de l'embase mâle (vue depuis la face d'accouplement), voir Figure 5a et Figure 5b. Codage B: un bord coupé à 45°, situé en haut à gauche de l'embase mâle, voir Figure 5c et Figure 5d. Codage C: deux bords coupés à 45°, situés en haut à gauche et en bas à gauche, voir Figure 5e et Figure 5f. Dans le présent document, les trois codages A, B et C sont appelés "Type A", "Type B" et "Type C".

Ta del standarda IEC 61076 zajema 10-redne, oklepljene, proste ali pritrjene pravokotne konektorje za prenos podatkov s frekvencami do 500 MHz ter določa običajne mere, mehanske, električne in prenosne lastnosti ter okoljske zahteve in specifikacije preskusov.
Konektorji, zajeti v tem dokumentu, so podani v treh označitvah, ki se razlikujejo le po položaju polarizacijske zagozde in utora z vidika drugačne predvidene uporabe:
• Konektorji tipa A in C so namenjeni za 10/100 Mbit/s in 1/2,5/5/10 Gbit/s ethernetno komunikacijo.
• Konektorji tipa B so namenjeni za vse druge neethernetne uporabe, kot so komunikacijski sistemi signalnih, serijskih in drugih industrijskih vodil.
Označitev A: Vogal, ki je odrezan pod kotom 45° in se uporablja kot sistem polarizacijske zagozde in utora, se nahaja v spodnjem levem vogalu moškega pritrjenega konektorja (pogled s prednje strani stikanja) (sliki 5a, 5b).
Označitev B: Vogal, ki je odrezan pod kotom 45°, se nahaja v zgornjem levem vogalu moškega pritrjenega konektorja (sliki 5c, 5d).
Označitev C: Dva vogala, ki sta odrezana pod kotom 45°, se nahajata v zgornjem levem in spodnjem levem vogalu (sliki 5e, 5f).
V tem dokumentu so tri označitve A, B in C označene kot »tip A«, »tip B« in »tip C«.
