IEC 60204-1:2016 is available as IEC 60204-1:2016 RLV which contains the International Standard and its Red line version, showing all changes of the technical content compared to the previous edition. IEC 60204-1:2016 applies to electrical, electronic and programmable electronic equipment and systems to machines not portable by hand while working, including a group of machines working together in a co-ordinated manner. The equipment covered by this part of IEC 60204 commences at the point of connection of the supply to the electrical equipment of the machine. This sixth edition cancels and replaces the fifth edition published in 2005. It constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: - added requirements to address applications involving power drive systems (PDS); - revised electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements; - clarified overcurrent protection requirements; - requirements for determination of the short circuit current rating of the electrical equipment; - revised protective bonding requirements and terminology; - reorganization and revision to Clause 9, including requirements pertaining to safe torque off of PDS, emergency stop, and control circuit protection; - revised symbols for actuators of control devices; - revised technical documentation requirements; - general updating to current special national conditions, normative standards, and bibliographical references.

L'IEC 60204-1:2016 s'applique aux équipements et systèmes électriques, électroniques et électroniques programmables des machines non portables à la main en fonctionnement y compris un groupe de machines fonctionnant ensemble d'une manière coordonnée. L'équipement couvert par la présente partie de l'IEC 60204 commence au point de connexion de l'alimentation à l'équipement électrique de la machine. Cette sixième édition annule et remplace la cinquième édition parue en 2005. Cette édition constitue une révision technique. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente: - exigences supplémentaires pour traiter des applications impliquant des systèmes d'entraînements électriques de puissance (PDS); - exigences révisées concernant la compatibilité électromagnétique (CEM); - clarification des exigences de protection contre les surintensités; - exigences pour la détermination des caractéristiques du courant de court-circuit de l'équipement électrique; - révision des exigences de liaisons de protection et la terminologie; - réorganisation et révision à l'Article 9, notamment les exigences relatives à la suppression sûre du couple du PDS, à l'arrêt d'urgence, et à la protection du circuit de commande; - révision des symboles pour les organes de commande des appareils de commande; - révision des exigences sur la documentation technique; - mise à jour générale des conditions nationales particulières, des normes et des références bibliographiques.

Ta del standarda IEC 60204 se uporablja za električno, elektronsko ter programirljivo elektronsko opremo in sisteme za stroje, ki niso ročno prenosljivi med delom, vključno s skupino strojev, ki delujejo skupaj in usklajeno.
OPOMBA 1: Ta del standarda IEC 60204 je standard uporabe in ni namenjen omejevanju ali onemogočanju tehnološkega napredka.
OPOMBA 2: V tem delu standarda IEC 60204 izraz »električni« zajema električne, elektronske in programirljive elektronske zadeve (tj. »električna oprema« pomeni električno, elektronsko in programirljivo elektronsko opremo).

NACIONALNI UVOD
Standard SIST EN 60204-1 (sl), Varnost strojev – Električna oprema strojev – 1. del: Splošne zahteve
(IEC 60204-1:2016, spremenjen), 2018, ima status slovenskega standarda in je enakovreden
evropskemu standardu EN 60204-1 (en), Safety of machinery – Electrical equipment of machines – Part
1: General requirements (IEC 60204-1:2016, modified), 2018.

Ta standard nadomešča SIST EN 60204-1:2006.

NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Mednarodni standard IEC 60204-1:2018 je pripravil pododbor Mednarodne elektrotehniške komisije
IEC/TC 44 Varnost strojev – Elektrotehnični pogledi. Vzporedno je standard potrdil tehnični odbor
Evropskega komiteja za standardizacijo v elektrotehniki CLC/TC 44X Varnost strojev: Elektrotehnični
pogledi, katerega tajništvo vodi BSI.

Slovenski standard SIST EN 60204-1:2018 je prevod evropskega standarda EN 60204-1:2018. V
primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski
standard v angleškem jeziku. Slovensko izdajo standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC MOV
Merilna oprema za elektromagnetne veličine.

Odločitev za privzem tega standarda je 11. novembra 2018 sprejel tehnični odbor SIST/TC MOV Merilna
oprema za elektromagnetne veličine.
