Road vehicles — Masses — Vocabulary and codes

Defines terms and codes in English and French for masses of road vehicles as defined in ISO 3833. The following types are excluded: specially designed vehicles for uses other than the transport of passengers and/or goods; motorcycles and mopeds; towed caravans. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (1974).

La présente Norme internationale définit les termes et les codes relatifs aux masses des véhicules routiers tels que définis dans l'ISO 3833, à l'exception des types indiqués ci-après, dans leur état de fabrication, qu'ils soient complets ou non. Les codes ont été prévus pour permettre l'échange de données relatives aux véhicules et leur traitement informatique. Les types de véhicules suivants sont exclus : les véhicules de conception spéciale, destinés à d'autres usages que le transport des personnes ou des marchandises ; les motocycles et les vélomoteurs, qui sont traités dans l'ISO 6726 ; les caravanes tractées, qui sont traitées dans l'ISO 7237. La présente Norme internationale ne prescrit ni les méthodes de mesure, ni les unités à employer, ni les tolérances à appliquer.

Cestna vozila - Mase - Slovar in oznake

Opredeljuje izraze in oznake v angleščini in francoščini za mase cestnih vozil, kot so opredeljena v ISO 3833. Izvzete so naslednje vrste: posebej zasnovana vozila, ki niso namenjena prevozu potnikov in/ali blaga; motorna kolesa in mopedi; vlečene bivalne prikolice. Ta druga izdaja razveljavlja in nadomešča prvo izdajo (1974).

Foreword
IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of
national standards bodies US0 member bodies). The work of preparing International
Standards is normally carried out through IS0 technical committees. Each member
body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has
the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, govern-
mental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. IS0
collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all
matters of electrotechnical standardization.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to
the member bodies for voting. Publication as an International Standard requires
approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote.
