Inland navigation vessels - Rope tubs

This European Standard specifies main dimensions, construction and requirements for rope tubs. Rope tubs are used on inland vessels to shoot up steel wire ropes, chemical fibre ropes or natural fibre ropes which are needed for example for tying and hauling. The use of rope tubs prevents the risk for the crew during manoeuvres to get into tightening slings or to stumble over ropes l laid down on deck.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Hauptmaße, Konstruktion und Anforderungen für Seilkörbe fest. Seilkörbe werden auf Binnenschiffen benutzt, um Stahldraht-, Chemiefaser- oder Naturfaserseile, die z.B. zum Festmachen oder Verholen benötigt werden, aufschießen zu können. Durch die Verwendung von Seilkörben wird der Gefahr vorgebeugt, daß Besatzungsmitglieder bei Manövern in sich zuziehende Seilschlingen geraten oder über an Deck liegende Seile stolpern können.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les dimensions principales, la construction et les exigences relatives aux grils à câble ou à cordage. Les grils à câble ou à cordage sont utilisés sur les bateaux de navigation intérieure pour pouvoir lover les cordages en fils d'acier, en fibre chimique ou en fibre naturelle nécessaires par exemple à l'amarrage et au halage. L'utilisation de grils à câble ou à cordage prévient le danger pour l'équipe, lors des manoeuvres, d'entrer dans les noeuds coulants ou de trébucher sur des cordages se trouvant sur le pont.
