ISO 17827-1:2016 specifies a method for the determination of the size distribution of particulate biofuels by the horizontally oscillating screen method. It applies to particulate uncompressed fuels with a nominal top size of 3,15 mm and above, e.g. wood chips, hog fuel, olive stones, etc. The method is intended to characterize material up to a particle size class of P63. For larger P-classes, the characterization is mainly done by hand sorting.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Größenverteilung von biogenen Brennstoffen als Schüttgut durch das horizontale Rüttelsiebverfahren fest. Es gilt für Schüttgut von ungepressten Brennstoffen mit einer nominellen Siebgröße von 3,15 mm und darüber, wie z. B. Holzhackschnitzeln, Schredderholz, Olivensteinen usw.
Das Verfahren ist zur Charakterisierung von Material bis zu einer Partikelgrößenklasse (P) von P63 vorgesehen. Bei höheren P Klassen und PL Klassen erfolgt die Charakterisierung hauptsächlich durch Handsortierung.
ANMERKUNG Die Definitionen und Spezifikationen von P und PL Klassen sind in ISO 17225 1, ISO 17225 4 und ISO 17225 9 angeführt.

ISO 17827-1:2016 spécifie une méthode pour la détermination de la distribution granulométrique de biocombustibles particulaires au tamis oscillant dans le plan horizontal. Elle s'applique aux combustibles particulaires non comprimés de dimension supérieure nominale égale ou supérieure à 3,15 mm, tels que les copeaux, les bûchettes, les noyaux d'olive, etc. La méthode a pour but de caractériser les matériaux jusqu'à une classe granulométrique de P63. Pour les classes en P supérieures, la caractérisation se fait essentiellement par tri manuel.

Standard ISO 17827-1:2016 določa metodo za določanje porazdelitve velikosti delcev biogoriv z metodo z vodoravno nihajočim sitom. Uporablja se za nekomprimirana goriva z nazivno zrnatostjo 3,15 mm ali več, kot so lesni sekanci, drobljenci, olivne koščice itd. Metoda je namenjena karakterizaciji materiala do razreda velikosti delcev P63. Pri večjih P-razredih se karakterizacija v glavnem izvaja z ročnim razvrščanjem.

This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 17827-1:2016), which has been technically
revised.
The main changes are as follows:
— 8-mm-sieve has been removed from the set of sieves;
— the required minimum sieving time can now optionally be chosen based on pre-tests;
— table of results has been completely modified;
— calculation of median value (Annex) has been deleted;
— precision requirements have been deleted;
— references have been updated.
