Leather - Physical and mechanical tests - Determination of resistance to horizontal spread of flame
This European Standard specifies a method for determining the horizontal burning rate of leather. It is applicable to all light leathers but is particularly intended for leathers used in the passenger compartment of motor vehicles.
NOTE The method uses the apparatus specified in ISO 3795 "Road vehicles and tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry - Determination of burning behaviour" of interior materials but incorporates special provisions for sampling, conditioning and testing of leather.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der horizontalen Brenngeschwindigkeit von Leder fest. Sie ist auf alle leichten Leder anwendbar, jedoch insbesondere für Lederarten vorgesehen, die im Fahrgastraum von Kraftfahrzeugen Anwendung finden.
ANMERKUNG Bei diesem Verfahren wird die in ISO 3795 "Road vehicles, and tractors and machinery for agriculture and forestry - Determination of burning behaviour of interior materials" festgelegte Prüfeinrichtung verwendet, es schließt jedoch spezielle Festlegungen für die Probenahme, die Konditionierung und die Prüfung von Leder ein.
Cuir - Essais physique et mécanique - Détermination de la résistance a la propagation horizontale de la flamme
La présente Norme européenne spécifie une méthode de détermination de la vitesse de combustion horizontale du cuir. Elle s'applique a tous les cuirs légers et, en particulier, aux cuirs utilisés dans l'habitacle des véhicules automobiles.
NOTE La présente méthode utilise l'appareillage spécifié dans l'ISO 3795, Véhicules routiers et tracteurs et matériels agricoles et forestiers - Détermination des caractéristiques de combustion des matériaux intérieurs, mais comprend des dispositions particulieres concernant l'échantillonnage, le conditionnement du cuir et les essais auxquels celui-ci est soumis.
