1 Rationale (not included in the proposal)
2 The inclusion of the possibility to declare appliance couplers and plug for use at temperatures
3 higher than the normal ambient temperatures also lead to updated requirements for cord sets
4 and interconnection cord sets.
5 In an early discussion it was proposed that cord sets with plugs and appliance couplers for
6 direct current should be included in IEC 60799, but 23G/MT 1 proposes to include these in a
7 new separate publication to keep IEC 60799 less complicated.
