Bituminous mixtures - Test methods for hot mix asphalt - Part 20: Indentation using cube or Marshall specimens
The indentation test serves to determine the depth of indentation, and thus to test the behaviour of mastic asphalt, rolled and other such asphalts, when force is applied to them via a cylindrical indentor pin with a circular flat-ended base. Mastic asphalt as described in prEN ((WI 00227009)-6) for road construction, in prEN ((CEN/TC 303WICCCC)-2) for floor screeds and in prEN (WI 31407) for waterproofing in building and engineering constructions can be tested following the test method prescribed hereafter. The maximum nominal size of the aggregates in the mix is up to and including 16 mm.

Der Eindringversuch dient zur Bestimmung der Eindringtiefe und damit zur Prüfung des Verhaltens von Gußasphalt, Walzasphalt und ähnlichen Asphalten bei Beanspruchung mit einem zylindrischen Stempel mit kreisförmiger ebener Grund- fläche. Gußasphalt nach prEN (WI 00227009)-6 für den Straßenbau, nach prEN ((CEN/TC 303WICCCC)-2) für Estriche und nach prEN (WI 31407) für Abdichtungen im Hoch- und Tiefbau können mit dem im folgenden beschriebenen Verfahren geprüft werden. Die maximale Nenngröße der Gesteinskörnungen in dem Gemisch beträgt maximal 16 mm.

La présente Norme européenne décrit une méthode de mesure de l'indentation d'un asphalte coulé et d'un enrobé compacté, lorsqu'il est soumis à une force par l'intermédiaire d'un poinçon cylindrique avec un embout plat circulaire. Cette Norme européenne s'applique à des granulats dont la dimension nominale maximale est inférieure ou égale à 16 mm.
