Protective clothing - Aprons, trousers and vests protecting against cuts and stabs by hand knives (ISO 13998:2003)

ISO 13998:2003 is applicable to protective aprons, trousers and vests for use with hand knives, and to other garments which provide similar protection to parts of the body in accidents. It specifies requirements for the design, penetration resistance, cut resistance, sizing, ergonomic characteristics, innocuousness, water permeability, cleaning and disinfection, marking and information to be supplied by the manufacturer for users of protective aprons, trousers and vests. It also describes the classification of protection levels and appropriate test methods.

Schutzkleidung - Schürzen, Hosen und Westen zum Schutz gegen Schnitte und Stiche durch Handmesser (ISO 13998:2003)

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Schutzschürzen, Hosen und Westen beim Gebrauch von Handmessern und andere Bekleidungsstücke, die Teilen des Körpers ähnlichen Schutz bei Unfällen bieten. Sie enthält Anforderungen an die Gestaltung, Durchstichfestigkeit, Schnittfestigkeit, Größe, ergonomischen Eigenschaften, Unschädlichkeit, Wasserdurchlässigkeit, Reinigung und Desinfektion, Kennzeichnung und die Informationen des Herstellers für Benutzer von Schutzschürzen, Hosen und Westen. Sie beschreibt ebenfalls die Einteilung der Schutzklassen und geeignete Prüfverfahren.

L'ISO 13998:2003 s'applique aux tabliers, pantalons et vestes de protection portés lors de l'utilisation de couteaux à main ainsi qu'aux autres vêtements offrant une protection similaire pour certaines parties du corps en cas d'accident. Elle spécifie des exigences pour la conception, la résistance à la pénétration, la résistance à la coupure, la taille, les caractéristiques ergonomiques, l'innocuité, la perméabilité à l'eau, le nettoyage et la désinfection, le marquage et la notice d'information du fabricant à l'attention des utilisateurs de tabliers, pantalons et vestes de protection. Elle décrit également la classification des niveaux de protection et les méthodes d'essai appropriées.

Varovalna obleka - Varovalni predpasniki, hlače in telovniki za varovanje pred urezninami in vbodi ročnega noža (ISO 13998:2003)

Zaščitni predpasniki, hlače in jopiči, ki nudijo zaščito pred vbodi in urezi, se uporabljajo pri delu, kjer se uporabljajo noži, kot je to na primer v klavnicah in obratih za predelavo mesa in rib. Pogosto tako zaščitno obleko uporabljajo tudi pri predelavi polimernih materialov ter v tekstilni, usnjarski in papirni industriji. Mednarodni standard ISO 13998:2003, Zaščitna obleka -- Predpasniki, hlače in jopiči za zaščito pred vrezi in vbodi z ročnimi noži, opredeljuje zahteve za oblikovanje, odpornost pred predrtjem, vrezom, velikosti, ergonomske značilnosti, neškodljivost, odpornost proti vodi, čiščenje in dezinfekcijo ter označevanje in informiranje, ki ga mora dobavitelj zagotoviti uporabnikom zaščitne opreme. V standardu so navedene stopnje zaščite in ustrezne preskusne metode. Posebno pa je poudarjena še povezava z zakonodajo in sorodnimi standardi, ki obravnavajo javno zdravje v živilsko—predelovalni industriji in bi lahko vplivali na oblikovanje ali zasnovo materiala oziroma na čiščenje tovrstne zaščitne obleke. Standard je pripravil ISO/TC 94 Osebna varnost - Zaščitna obleka in oprema, pododbor SC 13 Zaščitna obleka, v tesnem sodelovanju z evropsko organizacijo za standardizacijo CEN.
