This standard describes a hydraulic method for the determination of bursting strength and bursting distension of textile fabrics. In this part a hydraulic pressure is applied using a constant rate of pumping device. Note prEN ISO 13938-2 describes a method using pneumatic pressure. The method is applicable to knitted, woven, nonwoven and laminated fabrics. It may be suitable for fabrics produced by other techniques. The test is suitable for test specimens in the conditioned or wet state.

Diese Norm beschreibt ein hydraulisches Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Berstdruck und Berstwölbung textiler Flächengebilde. In diesem Teil wird hydraulischer Druck mit konstanter Fördermenge aufgebracht. Anmerkung: prEN ISO 13938-2 beschreibt ein Prüfverfahren mit pneumatischem Druck. Das Prüfverfahren ist anwendbar für Maschenwaren, Webwaren, Vliesstoffe und Laminate. Es kann für textile Flächengebilde geeignet sein, die nach anderen Verfahren hergestellt sind. Die Prüfung ist sowohl für an das Normalklima angeglichene Proben als auch Proben im nassen Zustand geeignet.

Textiles - Propriétés de résistance à l'éclatement des étoffes - Partie 1: Méthode hydraulique pour la détermination de le résistance et de la déformation à l'éclatement (ISO 13938-2:1999)

La présente partie de norme décrit une méthode hydraulique de détermination de la résistance et de la déformation à l'éclatement des étoffes. Dans la présente partie, une pression hydraulique est appliquée au moyen d'un dispositif à vitesse constante de pompage.
NOTE L'ISO 13938-2 décrit une méthode utilisant une pression pneumatique. La méthode s'applique aux étoffes tricotées, tissées, non tissées et laminées. Elle peut convenir aux étoffes produites par d'autres techniques. L'essai peut être effectué soit sur des éprouvettes conditionnées soit sur des éprouvettes humides. D'après les informations actuellement disponibles, il n'apparaît aucune différence significative, pour les pressions allant jusqu'à 800 kPa, entre les résultats obtenus avec des éclatomètres hydrauliques et ceux des appareillages pneumatiques. Cette gamme de pressions couvre la majorité des niveaux de performance prévus pour les étoffes courantes d'habillement. Pour les textiles spécifiques nécessitant des pressions d'éclatement élevées, l'appareillage hydraulique est plus approprié.
