Visibility accessories for non-professional use - Test methods and requirements

Scope
This standard specifies the optical performance requirements for accessories which are to be worn, attached to or carried by people and designed for non-professional use. Visibility accessories complying with this standard are intended to signal the user's presence visually when illuminated by vehicle headlight on dark roads. This standard is not applicable to garments.

Anwendungsbereich
Diese Norm legt die Anforderungen an die optischen Leistungsanforderungen von Zubehör fest, das von
Personen angelegt oder getragen wird oder an ihnen befestigt ist und das für den nichtprofessionellen
Bereich bestimmt ist. Warn-Zubehör ist nach dieser Norm dazu vorgesehen, die Anwesenheit des
Trägers beim Anstrahlen mit Fahrzeugscheinwerfern auf dunklen Straßen visuell zu signalisieren. Diese
Norm ist nicht auf Kleidungsstücke anwendbar.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences de performance optique pour les accessoires destinés à être portés, attachés à, ou transportés par des personnes et conçus pour un usage non-professionnel. Les accessoires de visualisation conformes à la présente norme sont destinés à signaler visuellement la présence de l'utilisateur lorsqu'ils sont éclairés par les phares des véhicules sur des routes non éclairées. La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux vêtements.
