Pulp, paper and board - Determination of the Diisopropylnaphthalene (DIPN) content by solvent extraction

This European Standard describes a method for the determination of the content of diisopropylnaphthalene (DIPN) in paper, board and pulp by solvent extraction. The content of diisopropylnaphthalene (DIPN) is expressed as mg of total diisopropylnaphthalene DIPN isomers per kilogram of paper, board or pulp. This test method is appropriate for the quantitative determination of the content of diisopropylnaphthalene (DIPN) with a limit of determination of about 0,6 mg/kg.

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung des Gehaltes an Diisopropylnaphthalin (DIPN) in Papier, Karton und Faserstoff mittels Lösemittelextraktion. Der Gehalt an Diisopropylnaphthalin (DIPN) wird in Milligramm Diisopropylnaphthalin-Isomere je Kilogramm Papier, Karton oder Faserstoff angegeben. Dieses Prüfverfahren ist für die quantitative Bestimmung des Gesamtgehaltes an Diisopropylnaphthalin (DIPN) mit einer Bestimmungsgrenze von etwa 0,6 mg/kg geeignet.

La présente Norme européenne décrit une méthode de détermination de la teneur des papiers, cartons et pâtes en diisopropylnaphtalène (DIPN) par extraction au solvant. La teneur en diisopropylnaphtalène (DIPN) est exprimée en mg d'isomères totaux de diisopropylnaphtalène (DIPN) par kilogramme de papier, carton ou pâte. Cette méthode d'essai permet d'effectuer une détermination quantitative de la teneur en diisopropylnaphtalène (DIPN) avec une limite de détermination de 0,6 mg/kg environ.
