Aluminium and aluminium alloys - Products for structural railway applications - Technical conditions for inspection and delivery - Part 2: Plates and sheets

This document specifies requirements for rolled products (plate and sheet) which contribute to the structural properties of the railcar bodyshell and of other major structural components.
It specifies particular requirements regarding qualification, quality control, material properties and dimensional tolerances are specified. Furthermore, guidelines for application and use are given.
NOTE   Some of the products listed in the present standard may be subject to patent or patent applications, and their listing herein does not in any way imply the granting of a licence under such patent right.
CEN/TC 132 affirms that it is its policy that in the case when a patentee refuses to grant licenses on standardised standard products under reasonable and not discriminatory conditions, then this product is removed from the corresponding standard.

Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen an Walzerzeugnisse (Platten und Bleche) fest, die für die tragenden Eigenschaften von Wagenkästen für Schienenfahrzeuge und für andere wichtige tragende Bauteile maßgeblich sind.
Es legt besondere Anforderungen an Eignung, Qualitätsprüfung, Werkstoffeigenschaften und Maßtoleranzen fest. Außerdem werden Leitlinien für Anwendung und Gebrauch angegeben.
ANMERKUNG   Einige in der vorliegenden Norm aufgeführte Produkte können Gegenstand von einem Patent oder
Patentanmeldungen sein. Ihre Auflistung in dieser Norm bedeutet aber keinesfalls, dass dadurch eine Lizenzübertragung unter diesem Patentrecht erfolgt.
CEN/TC 132 bekräftigt seine Vorgehensweise, dass in dem Fall, wenn ein Patentinhaber sich weigert, für genormte Produkte Lizenzen unter angemessenen und nicht diskriminierenden Bedingungen zu erteilen, dieses Produkt aus der entsprechenden Norm zu entfernen ist.

Ce document spécifie les exigences pour les produits laminés (tôles et tôles épaisses) qui contribuent aux propriétés structurales des caisses de véhicules ferroviaires et d'autres composants structuraux.
Des exigences particulières concernant la qualification, le contrôle qualité, les propriétés des matériaux et les tolérances dimensionnelles sont spécifiées. En outre, des lignes directrices pour l'application et l'utilisation sont données.
NOTE   Certains des produits énumérés dans la présente norme peuvent être l'objet de brevets ou de demandes de brevets ; leur mention n'implique en aucune manière qu'une licence ait été accordée dans le cadre du droit des brevets.
La politique affirmée du CEN/TC 132 est que si celui qui détient le brevet refuse d'accorder la licence pour des produits normalisés dans des conditions normales et non discriminatoires, les produits correspondants seront retirés de la norme.

EN 13981-2:2004 is a CEN European standard that defines technical conditions for inspection and delivery of aluminium plates and sheets used in structural railway applications.
