Centrifugal pumps - Test procedure for seal packings

This European Standard gives details of a test procedure for packings to be used to seal the stuffing boxes of centrifugal pumps. It gives provisions on the design of test equipment, standard test parameters and reporting criteria. It does not specify performance criteria which should be agreed between supplier and customer, but does define 3 tightness classes.
When necessary, this European Standard is also applicable to packings used on other rotary equipment such as mixers and agitators.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Details eines Prüfverfahrens für Packungen fest, die verwendet werden, um Stopfbuchsen von Kreiselpumpen abzudichten. Es werden Festlegungen für den Entwurf von Prüfeinrichtungen, Standardversuchsparametern und Berichtskriterien festgelegt. Es werden keine Leistungskriterien angegeben, die zwischen Lieferant und Kunde vereinbart werden sollten, sondern drei Leckageklassen definiert.
Wenn nötig, kann diese Europäische Norm auch für Packungen in anderen Rotationsanwendungen wie Mischer und Rührer angewendet werden.

Le présent document donne un descriptif détaillé d'une procédure d'essai pour les garnitures tressées destinées à assurer l'étanchéité des presse-étoupes des pompes centrifuges. Il donne des préconisations sur la conception des équipements d'essai, les paramètres d'essai standard et les critères de compte-rendu. Il ne répertorie pas les critères de performance qui doivent être convenus entre le fournisseur et le client, mais distingue néanmoins 3 classes d’étanchéité.
Lorsque cela est nécessaire, le présent document est aussi applicable aux garnitures tressées utilisées sur d’autres dispositifs rotatifs tels que les mélangeurs et les agitateurs.

Ta dokument določa podrobnosti preskusnega postopka za embalažo, ki se uporablja za zatesnitev tesnilnega prostora centrifugalnih črpalk. Navaja določila glede zasnove preskusne opreme, standardnih preskusnih parametrov in meril za poročanje. Ne določa meril učinkovitosti na podlagi dogovora med dobaviteljem in odjemalcem, ampak določa tri razrede tesnosti.
Po potrebi se ta dokument uporablja tudi za embalažo za drugo rotacijsko opremo, kot so mešalniki in mešala.

In particular, it shall consist of a suitable housing for retaining the test fluid and either one or more stuffing boxes to house the test packing. Each stuffing box shall be fitted with a gland follower and suitable retaining plate capable of controlled axial adjustment. There shall be a test shaft mounted on suitable bearings and attached to a suitable drive mechanism. SIST EN 16752:2015

The surface roughness of the shaft shall be no worse than 0,4 µm Ra and the shaft shall be free of helical machine marks; e) shaft and housing shall be manufactured from corrosion resistant stainless steel (e.g. 1.4016 or 1.4404 in accordance with EN 10088-1) without surface coating and shaft hardness shall be 40 HRC minimum; f) the tolerances on shaft and stuffing box bore shall be h10 and H10 respectively in acco
