This document specifies requirements for classification of solid wire electrodes, tubular cored electrodes and electrode/flux combinations (all-weld metal deposits) for submerged arc welding of creep resisting and low-alloy elevated-temperature application steels. One electrode can be tested and classified with different fluxes. The solid wire electrode is also classified separately based on its chemical composition.
This document is a combined specification providing a classification system based on either:
— the chemical composition of the solid wire electrode and all-weld metal deposit; or
— the tensile strength of the all-weld metal deposit and the chemical composition of the solid wire electrode and all-weld metal deposit obtained with the electrode/flux combination.
Clauses, subclauses and tables which carry the suffix letter "A" are applicable only to solid wire electrodes, tubular cored electrodes and all-weld metal deposits classified in accordance with the system based upon chemical composition.
Clauses, subclauses and tables which carry the suffix letter "B" are applicable only to solid wire electrodes, tubular cored electrodes and all-weld metal deposits classified in accordance with the system based upon the tensile strength of all-weld metal deposits and the chemical composition of solid wire electrodes and all-weld metal deposits.
Clauses, subclauses and tables which do not have either the suffix letter "A" or the suffix letter "B" are applicable to all solid wire electrodes, tubular cored electrodes and electrode/flux combinations classified under this document.

Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen für die Einteilung von Massivdrahtelektroden, Fülldrahtelektroden und Draht Pulver Kombinationen (reines Schweißgut) zum Unterpulverschweißen warmfester und niedrig¬legierter Stähle für erhöhte Temperatur fest. Eine Drahtelektrode kann mit verschiedenen Pulvern geprüft und eingestuft werden. Die Massivdrahtelektrode kann auch gesondert nach ihrer chemischen Zusammensetzung eingestuft werden.
Dieses Dokument benutzt ein System zur Einteilung, das entweder
— auf der Einteilung nach der chemischen Zusammensetzung der Massivdrahtelektroden und des reinen Schweißgutes; oder
— auf der Zugfestigkeit des reinen Schweißgutes sowie der chemischen Zusammensetzung der Massivdrahtelektroden und des mit einer Draht Pulver Kombination hergestellten reinen Schweißgutes
beruht.
a) Abschnitte, Unterabschnitte und Tabellen mit dem zusätzlichen Buchstaben „A“ sind nur für Massivdraht¬elektroden, Fülldrahtelektroden und reines Schweißgut anwendbar, die nach dem System eingeteilt sind, das auf der chemischen Zusammensetzung beruht.
b) Abschnitte, Unterabschnitte und Tabellen mit dem zusätzlichen Buchstaben „B“ sind nur für Massiv¬drahtelektroden, Fülldrahtelektroden und reines Schweißgut anwendbar, die nach dem System eingeteilt sind, das auf den Anforderungen an die Zugfestigkeit des reinen Schweißgutes und die chemische Zusammensetzung der Massivdrahtelektroden und des reinen Schweißgutes beruht.
c) Abschnitte, Unterabschnitte und Tabellen ohne zusätzlichen Buchstaben „A“ oder „B“ sind für alle nach diesem Dokument eingeteilten Massivdrahtelektroden, Fülldrahtelektroden und Draht Pulver Kom¬binationen anwendbar.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences relatives à la classification des fils-électrodes pleins, des fils-électrodes fourrés et des combinaisons fil-flux (dépôts de métal fondu hors dilution) pour le soudage à l'arc sous flux des aciers résistant au fluage et des aciers faiblement alliés pour hautes températures. Une électrode peut être essayée et classifiée avec différents flux. Un fil-électrode plein est également classifié séparément d'après sa composition chimique.
Le présent document propose une spécification mixte donnant un système de classification basé sur:
— la composition chimique des fils-électrodes pleins et des dépôts de métal fondu hors dilution; ou
— la résistance à la traction du métal fondu hors dilution et la composition chimique des fils-électrodes pleins et des dépôts de métal fondu hors dilution obtenus avec les couples fil-flux.
Les articles, les paragraphes et les tableaux qui portent le suffixe «A» ne s'appliquent qu'aux fils-électrodes pleins, fils-électrodes fourrés et dépôts de métal fondu hors dilution classifiés d'après le système basé sur la composition chimique.
Les articles, les paragraphes et les tableaux qui portent le suffixe «B» ne s'appliquent qu'aux fils-électrodes pleins, fils-électrodes fourrés et dépôts de métal fondu classifiés d'après le système basé sur la résistance à la traction des dépôts de métal fondu hors dilution et sur la composition chimique des fils-électrodes pleins et des dépôts de métal fondu hors dilution.
Les articles, les paragraphes et les tableaux qui ne portent ni le suffixe «A» ni le suffixe «B» s'appliquent à tous les fils-électrodes pleins, fils-électrodes fourrés et couples fil-flux classifiés conformément au présent document.

Ta dokument določa zahteve za razvrstitev masivnih žic, strženskih žic ter kombinacij žic in praškov (čisti vari) za varjenje pod praškom jekel, odpornih proti lezenju, in malolegiranih visokotemperaturnih jekel. Eno elektrodo je mogoče preskušati in razvrstiti z različnimi praški. Masivna žica je razvrščena ločeno na podlagi kemične sestave.
Ta dokument je kombinirana specifikacija za sistem razvrščanja, ki temelji na:
– kemični sestavi masivnih žic in čistih varov; ali
– natezni trdnosti čistih varov ter kemični sestavi masivnih žic in čistih varov, pridobljenih s kombinacijo žic/praškov.

c) Točke, podtočke in preglednice brez dodane črke »A« ali »B« se uporabljajo za vse masivne žice, strženske žice ter kombinacije žic in praškov, ki so razvrščene v skladu s tem dokumentom.

This document (EN ISO 24598:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding
and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied
